Shiny Togepi is more clearly different than shiny Plusle compared to their non-shiny forms. shiny Togepi is kind of a sunburnt Togepi (the colour-inversed patterns on the egg are less obvious)

He photoshopped the geodude, fled the encounter, and then went back and captured it, so the edits were permanent. :-)
Or, for those of you who have been under a rock, Alolan Geodude and Alolan Diglett have been released as part of the weekend festivities.
