Salamence CD move

Hello everybody,

After Metagross got it's CD I think it is safe to assume that Salamence will get it's CD too in the near future. Can someome tell me it's movepool? Will there be a better option than Outrage theoretically?
Finally got a good one and want to decide whrther to evolve it,. Thanks

Outrage is the best charge move that Salamence can get that's in the game currently. Dragon Tail/Outrage Salamence will be one of the best dragon attackers in the game. However, that's only assuming Niantic will actually give it's best moveset. I'm fairly certain Meteor Mash Metagross was so good because Steel isn't really a good attacking type compared to dragon. Salamence could very well get Dragon Claw or Dragon Pulse instead.

If we're talking Dragon Moves that's not in the game, I think Dragon Rush has a very high chance of making into the game, and I'm quite confident that it will be a Gible community day move.

Just hypothetically - A FrenzyPlant-Clone "FrenzyDragon" is not out there, so if DragonRush gets to be that clone:

Thanks for the calcs! But wow, that's insane!

The reason why I think Dragon Rush has a high chance of being added is because, literally, every Dragon's best moveset right now is DragonTail/Outrage. And it'll get boring if they don't start getting more options.

Personally I would really enjoy it if Salamence got Fly as his community day move. With Fly being two bars and similar to Sky Attack. I think this is appropriate given the Pokédex story arc about Bagon wanting to fly and then Salamence finally getting wings etc etc. also Salamences’ relevance in the competitive meta game on showdown is via flying offense, not dragon. If it gets outrage it’s just a less bulky Dragonite and worse version of Rayquaza.

This is a really neat idea. Please accept my upvote!

I'm also in the camp hoping that Salamence gets something more interesting than Outrage as a CD move. Not that Outrage is bad, but we already have Dragonite, Rayquaza, and eventually Garchomp with the DT/O moveset. Having Salamence be another DT/O Dragon would feel boring and, as you put it, would just make it a worse Rayquaza.

Fly would be much more exciting than giving it another dragon type move. A Sky Attack clone gives it higher neutral DPS than Rayquaza and paired with Fire Fang makes it the highest DPS option against grass type raids like Tangela. If it became a Last Resort clone it would trail behind SA Moltres a little bit, but still leaves it quite a bit faster than everything else.

That's a very nice idea and not actuslly souless!!! Giving it the obvious outrage would be plain and predictable. Even Sky Attack could be nice for some variety!!
