Revive saving tips
I have been taking all my worst Rayquazas with Outrage, and using them in raid battles against Rayquazas with Air Slash / Aerial Ace. After the battle, transfer them and save a revive.
I even have been using Fast TM's to convert them to Dragon Tail. Really a waste but its better than throwing Fast TM's away (I have over 100).
Question is, would you do the same even for a boosted Rayquaza with poor stats (14/10/10)?? Depends on how many you have, I suppose.

Exactly, I don't understand why people are having a revive issue unless they raid many times a day without the "luck" of getting revives or don't spin stops/gyms. I never have a revive drought if I actively play on a character (that changes when I do only 1 spin/catch a day and place myself in a gym every night to get my 50 coins).
I do a lot of tier 3 raids solo. I often complete them using 1 revive because I can just switch mons as needed. I average about +5 revives for every tier 3 raid.
Everyone knows what to do to make revives not a problem. But some people still chose to have a revive problem. That's up to you.
Do more lower tier than small team Tier 5. Use junk mons in gym battles and to hold gyms.
Don't want to do the above? Then live with the revive problem. Do whatever makes you happy.
I have way too many revives and toss a few out every few days.
How do people have Revive issues?
I'm usually hovering around 5-20 regular revives which I get from spinning a few gyms and raiding 1-2 times a day.
I'm also rarely using my 100+ max revives, usually try to use up the revives+potions that keep filling my bag. I'm at about 100+ max potions and rarely get to use them : /
If you're raiding 3-10 times every day and running low on revives, GOOD. This is your problem to solve. Maybe getting stronger pokemon who won't faint as often may help as well.
Thats a crappy reply in the extreme.
A level 38-40, with perfect level 40 counters still is going to lose a lot of Revives if they live in a low raid #s area.
The problem with your whole arguement is that the number of revives someone uses per raid is highly dependent on the number of other raiders.
Seconding this comment. I duoed a Rayquaza, albeit in the snow, and needed 13 revives after the battle. Obviously my pokemon are strong enough and that isn't the issue. I am actually low on revives right now specifically because of the fact my pokemon are strong enough to easily trio Rayquaza, but I go through 10 pokemon each time. I've been doing more raids because of this, but I haven't increased the number of gyms I'm spinning enough to offset the revive costs. Rayquaza hits hard and the best counters aren't the bulkiest things in the world. I anticipate my revive supply will begin to go up again once the next legendary is released because of that. For now, I just need to spin more gold medal gyms and dump evolution fodder into gyms to get my coins.
Apologies if I came off as if I was complaining, that wasn't my intention. My intention was to try to explain why getting stronger pokemon isn't the solution to the revive problem. I think the solution depends on what your playing environment is. If you can raid with larger groups, that will help, but if you have to short man raids, make sure to spin gyms to replenish your supplies afterwards. You can also just take a break from raiding as much, and if the next legendaries released are the regis, that may not be a bad course of action.
Sure, but are any of the other mons worth wasting passes on them? I mean, once you solo Claydol, you're done. I sure was, especially when I can get a much stronger, weather boosted one for free every single day. Does anyone still need more machamp from raids? I'd be surprised if the general answer was yes. We know legendaries aren't the only raids, but they're the only ones worth it in the long run. I actually drown in revives even though I do an average of 7 legendraids a day. What I lack is potions for fighting gyms for territorial control. That's what takes a toll on me because where I live you need to be really, really fast when taking down an enemy gym and you can't spare using disposables.
Whenever other trainer want to raid in large group i just said ok, and use non glass cannon, tankier counter like golem and gardevoir. I want to use aggron also, but i only have one and my stardust still limited so no powerup for it.
Only using my dps team when i do 3-4 man Rayquaza raid.
So there is one saving revive mode squad and need more revive squad for me..
Never have revive issue also, but some of my friend has it..
I only use throw away mons for regular gym battle like wild pinsir, castform, minun, every final evolution mons from wild, etc so 0 revives
I am not raiding much in the weekdays, only in weekend with around 20-30 raids
I am keeping all my legendaries for double candy event.
It just depends on your playstyle. I trashed 50 revives within the last week because I'm spinning stops like mad to get balls for exp grinding. If short on revives and no time to grind them, basically use every remotely useful mon that you can find in your inventory at least once. You can also use stardust for reviving mons you were planning on powering up anyway as gaining hp from a level up will revive a mon.
