Possible PvP Earthquake bug?

Not sure about this, so I'd like to know if it happened to anyone else. While battling today with a friend, I noticed Earthquake's damage was very low (not minimal, but still...) the three times I used, even though the animation showed the aura around my Pokémon. Maybe it was a finger slip out of the charge circle, but I doubt it was the case in all three uses, so I'll be checking this as I battle (the other attacks, by the way, were perfectly fine). Thank you for your answers!

Were you battling a flying Pokemon by any chance?

I've known the type chart for 20 years, so I'm sure it wasn't about type effectiveness (though I appreciate your question). For the record, these were the cases:

1. Swampert vs Kabutops (Ultra): Earthquake does minimal damage, Surf takes more than 1/3 of its HP bar.
2. Groudon vs Hariyama (Master): The same as well (to be fair, mine was about level 30 and the other 40, but still, it was a fully charged EQ)
3. Groudon vs Lugia (the same battle as 2): I know, type disadvantage and extreme tankiness, but considering the previous cases, it makes me wonder if it could have done a bit more of damage.

Incidentally, I tried against AI and it worked normally (after the forced update, I must say); probably an error because of the different versions of the Game? (not sure if my friend had already updated the game before our battles)

If your clocks desynced, it will affect charge move damage. Both players should change their clock to manual, then back to automatic date/time.
