Pokemon Go Plus A-

Spoiler Alert: If you bought one as a Christmas present you may not want to read this.

Found one in a city park, unable to find the owner, thought I'd try it out. A week later nobody has claimed it and I now see why. 85% of mons caught have poor IV and less than half CP. A flee "ran away" rate of 30% to my usual 5% (yes I suck at throwing).

I thought it's saving grace might be spinning stops while driving, sadly the lag makes that impossible, even at 15Kph. Forget slotting one in a gym on the fly for coin.

Why would you care about the IV and CP of what POGO+ catches? Its purpose is to grind stardust faster, not catch you awesome pokemon that you'll want to power up. A flee rate of 30% is to be expected since it only throws a single pokeball.

Last week I caught a 92% Ralts POGO+ most likely would have missed, that's why.

The PoGo+ isn´t meant to do all the work for you, if you want the good stuff, you have to catch it by yourself (as long, as you don´t set everything on your luck). It would be way to unbalanced, if it would just replace the manual gameplay

Plus catches things you would never have been able to catch if you use it in a spawn-rich area or during a time when you would be unable to manually catch. That's its strength. If you only play in a way that you could manual catch everything the plus is useless.

Also the way you play with it if you care about not missing good mons is to still look at your screen and plus only mons you don't care about. You would not have missed that Ralts because you would have manual caught it instead of plussing it.

I find that its success rate fluctuates often. Sometimes it feels like it never misses and others I feel like it never works. In the long run it saves balls because you either get it or you don't. When a stupid pidgey breaks out of 5 balls I just push the button and either get it or not. Before I had one there were too many times where some stupid mon who has no business breaking out of great curves tore through a dozen or more balls, only to run away anyway...

And my best catch ever with the Go plus was a lv27 98% Ursaring. Really great but I already maxed out a 100 lol

Yeah, mostly for dust. I did catch a 100% level 29 ditto with mine.

There is some 3d party go plus that works 100 times better.

Its catch rate is about 40%, but that's not what matters. I use it to multi-task (it catches one mon, I catch another at the same time; I catch the mon, it spins the stop), to discreetly catch in a store or at work (I have zero spawns at my rural house, but work in the city), or to safely catch mon on incense when bicycling. If I can, I check the screen to see if I really want the mon and if so manually catch it; however, sometimes it surprises me, like catching a 500+ CP dratini.

I love mine, definitely a must for the rural player who needs to make the most of every grinding opportunity.
