Pokemisconceptions
What's something you thought was true in the Pokemon universe, either the old games or in Go (or both), that you later found out was wrong?
For the longest time i thought Flying was super effective against Ground until i looked at the Type Chart on Gamepress and was shocked that I was wrong about that. Admittedly i haven't played a full game since Diamond but still I thought that was a basic thing and was surprised I was wrong about.

Back in the days of Ruby and Sapphire, I guided myself by several common sense misconceptions that I still believe SHOULD be true. I was on the same boat on the flying vs ground super effectiveness, as well as believing that Steel was weak to electric (I mean, its obvious right?) but not only it isn't, but it actually is weak to fighting?!
Gyarados and Charizard look like dragons so they MUST be dragons right? No, instead they're both half flying, which raises a lot of questions about Gyarados.
I also thought celebi was another psychic mythical.
I thought ice wasn’t weak to fire because you could get super effective against charizard on the original games but I remember when I played Stadium it didn’t work (come to find out they changed it in later gens). I also thought it was interesting in my discord group that people actually thought ice was the only thing super effective against rayquaza and didn’t know dragon is weak to itself
