Hi trainers
Today I catched this Palkia.
My question is: Should I invest in it? Or this Dragon is not worthy enough for rare candies?
Is palkia better than rayquaza?

As always thanks for your feedback!

Palkia is tankier than Ray, but not "better." He is a top 3 dragon type so worth investing if you don't have enough Ray or Dragonite. I will power up my best one just because he looks cool and is useful, with the potential dual charge moves Draco and Hydro Pump. If you have no other place to put rare candies he is worthy IMO.

PS - still not sure why he is so tiny though...

Palkia is only better in specific match ups, but in a general sense, rayquaza is still better. Palkia's still great as a dragon attacker however.

Two days in a row I traded for Palkia, neither went lucky but one was 2280, 100%. The other was 2265, 13a/15/15. IMO, wait bc you might get a better one.***other possible combo is 15a/12d/15s

I've been thinking a similar question as well, palkia only shines against itself though. Against most dragons (Ray, dnite, garchomp) ice is the supreme counter due to double weaknesses, we have Dialga next in line but he isn't weak against dragons, I don't really like how DracoMeteor is one bar compared to Outrage and in performance palkia is most of the time on par with Dragonite which became way too easy to acquire recently. if you have attended dratini comm days or actively playing during lunar year event, you probably have enough high level Dragonites. But palkia looks cool and doesn't hurt to have one in high levels just for kicks.

I would say yes, but wait until the end of the event to see if you get another better one (or weather boosted similar one).

I intend to eventually invest in my best palkia, but will be waiting until the end of the run to pick which one.

Whether or not you should invest in it depends on what your other dragons look like. While it's bulky enough to make effective use of Draco Meteor, it being single bar is inherently riskier to use than Outrage. It's very powerful but if you already have armies of Rayquaza and Dragonite it may not offer much extra. I'd like to power one up eventually but unless I get a 96% lucky or something I'll be holding off for a while.

As for being better than Rayquaza: It's bulkier and can dish out more damage over time, but Ray has quite higher DPS.

It's a good dragon. Have you ever used a Dragonite with Outrage? If you have it, Palkia is pretty the same just with a lot more bulk. It's only downside is Draco Meteor, it is still a powerful move but Outrage is prefered because it's a two bar charge move.

Overall, my advice is to catch some more and trade them with other people for other Palkia's and hope for a lucky. With the increased lucky rates for 1 more week, you have a higher chance for a lucky Palkia.

Palkia isn't a bad dragon but it's not the best. If you don't have anything else to use rare candies on, it won't hurt to use them on Palkia. However, I know some people are holding off to see if Palkia get's a 3 hr. raid day and Spatial Rend.

I also got one weather boosted 15att/15def/14sta. Not sure what to do with it.

What's its signature move??

Ray>Or-Dragonite>Palkia>Salamence, DM-Dragonite, Latias, Latios> other dragons. If you have a full team of Or-Dragonite and Rayquaza, there's no reason to invest in Palkia. Add the next 4 and your improvement will be marginal. Also, dragon typing took a hit in usefulness with that increase in the SE bonus.
All that to say, Palkia isn't a bad investment, but you likely have better ones.
