Niantic keeps on LYING (please share your data)
These, ESPECIALLY the part about invite-chances, are LIES:
https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/exraids-update-020718/
Me and 3 other players in my area did 30+ raids during the last 7 days (personally did 37)
NONE of these 4 persons received a pass.
We all have silver gym Badges in the 3 gyms.
We raided at 3 different eligible gyms, and all of the 3 gyms triggered an EX-raid for 26 february.
Several less active players were invited, as well as regular ones but not as hardcore players.
ANY SIMILAR EXPERIENCE?
PLEASE SHARE HOW MANY RAIDS YOU DID IN THE LAST 7 DAYS + IF YOU GOT A PASS or NOT.
Thank You
Edit To clarify further: we raided at ALL gyms in the city, almost all that had a Rayquaza raid

After 3 or 4 months of not recieving a pass i was finally invited again.
All gyms in town are gold. I pretty much stopped raiding there. I sometimes burn my free pass. Mayve go out of my way for absol. Thats about it.
I too dont believe raiding a lot and gold gyms help. I live in a vacation resort area and its very very very common for tourists to get invites for the week they were here.
I have never got a pass. A few weeks ago, just before the mass retro wave and the S2 lvl13 wave, I spent a week doing only raids at eligible park gyms. No other locations. I did about 15 raids that week. 4 of the locations I had raided at received passes. Most of these I had raided multiple times during the week. Many friends and my brother got passes at these locations but, alas, I remain Mewtwo-less. I wrote a long email to support about this outlining that the developer notes were patently false and was given a response that they were unable to discuss the selection criteria for ex pass distribution, and received no compensation.
Patently false? You are just throwing nonsense out there. They have made it clear that it is a lottery system. Doing certain things increase your chances but nowhere do they say that "do x,y,z and you will get a pass." If they did then sure you maybe would have a case, but they don't. They are right to respond with a form letter and not provide you with compensation.
Did you read the text you linked?
"Trainers with a higher level Gym Badge are now even more likely to receive an invitation for an EX Raid Battle at that location."
Players with gold badges will have much better chances for an invite. Which probably means that your silver badges are just good enough to stay even.
"Trainers who complete more Raid Battles (at any location) the week before EX Raid Battle invitations are sent will now have a greater chance of being selected."
This sounds like concentrating on EX gyms will not give you any bonus any more - it is raids in any location now. If your number of invites had been inflated by concentrating your raids on EX gyms only, this does not work any more. This means, more invites go to players that raid gyms of convenience - and less to hardcore players.
I think casual players are favoured as well.
I am a casual player, did 3 raids in total last week of which one was at a park gym. We were with a large group for my city, maybe about 25 people turned up. With that raid the gym got triggered and I got another invite.
The telegram group admin of my area, a die hard lvl 40 player with a golden gym badge, participated in the same raid but didn't get a pass... Luck is simply just past of this game, accept it!
My point is, the hardcore players are probably using an inflated baseline for what the fair number of invites is.
Under the old system, raids at EX-gyms counted. Hardcore players located those gyms, concentrated their raids there and managed to get most of the invites. Casual players, who did not go out of their way to raid special gyms, but just did the ones in front of their office, were left with next to no invites at all.
Under the new system, all raids count. Hardcore players still get a higher than average number of invites, as the do more raids. However, there are many more casual players, and their total number of raids probably outweighs the hardcore players by a huge margin. In my experience, for any player that does 30 raids each week there are a dozen players that do only one raid each day. You do not see them at raid parties, as they normally do only solo raids. And you did not see them at EX-raids, as they never got invited. But now their 84 raids count, and as they now get about 3/4 of the invites, the hardcore players receive only 1/4 of what they are used to.
It works as intended. I have a gold badge on the EX gym that gave invites this week, but I didn't get invited. My friends have a silver badge on said gym, but did get invited. Did I mention I didn't do a raid there (expected invites for another gym in the same cell with more activity) and therefore don't have an invite now?
It have had five invites so far and usually raid regularly on the EX gyms, for all of which I have a gold badge. Now I don't do 4+ raids a day to potentially get an invite, as I find paying money for this game rather rediculous.
Last fall my church held a fair to raise funds for the church. During the fair the church held a raffle. The minister got up and said “the more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning”. Well I spent $50 on tickets. Sadly I did not win. Some guy who only bought two tickets won the grand prize!!! Now I can’t wait to go to church on Sunday and call the Minister a LIAR right to his face.
Yes they do, indeed! I participated in the triggering of the last EX raid at our local park. Out of 24 players, I was within the only 4-5 players with gold badges at the gym. I was one of the highest level as well. Don't know yet about all the other gold badge players, but I didn't get the invitation...
On the other hand, many of the low level badge players got invitation as I can see in the reports in the discord channel...
ofc niantic are lying. How do you suckers keep falling to it!
At the last set of raids someone turned up who had never raided there and hadn't been there since last summer. And theres loads of people who have gotten raids having only done one raid at a particular gym.
There's no system for choosing who gets ex passes, its just random.
One of the people I raid with regularly decided to focus on a single gym in our area, and every time that gym had a raid, he posted it. So 15-20 raids, at all levels, were done on the gym by various people in our area. I got an EX Raid pass to that Gym - I had a Bronze badge, but did 3 raids there in the past week: 2 Rayquaza and 1 Tyranitar. My daughter, also with a Bronze badge, got an EX pass for the same gym after doing 1 Rayquaza and 1 Tyranitar raid. My wife did NOT get an EX pass, and she did NOT do the same Tyranitar raid that my daughter and I did. She did one of the Rayquaza raids only. Again, Bronze gym for her.
We plan on focusing on that gym regularly to try to trigger regular EX Raids there instead of focusing on the entire area. Still going to do raids in the area, but if there's a Level 5 at a non-eligible gym and a Level 4 at the EX eligible gym, we'll be doing the Level 4 ahead of the Level 5.
It's a shame that the OP had to put up with so much bs in this thread.
The system is blatently unethical. At the end of the day, money is everything to niantic, they prioritize it over humanity. This is well well well established, and the people calling other's 'entitled' and 'whingers', are naive or unempathetic or both.
Hope you get one soon OP. :)
