Guess this finally puts and end to the speculation of a ralts CD, though I am a bit sad that bagon may not be getting one and SC Gengar's not coming back, but I'd rather this to all of those. Hopefully now steel types will have some elevated status

It definitely put an end to Gastly CD in October. Both Bagon and Ralts can still get their CD in the future. After all, this is the first gen3 CD and there aren't any more good candidates in gen 1 and 2.
The big question is what will be the stats of Meteor Mash, my guess is something like Overheat or Solar Beam.

Metagross is already handy capped by one bars, I think they're giving it 2 bars at bear minimum unless they make meteor mash ridiculously powerful. or it its a fast move (dont think its going to be, but we did get SD tyrantiar) it would proabbly end up something like smack down.

I am so glad (despite my sadness) this has finally killed the gastly CD expectations, I can now power up my gastly army for mewtwo raids

They've also done CD's in dex order, and beldum is the last hoenn nonlegendary line, I think its possible they could do bagon, but I dont know about ralts, its got a split evolution line, and unlike eevee, who's whole point is its multiple evolutions, ralts' plit evolution is more...restrictive for gallade, needing at bear minimum a male, and possibly a dawnstone, unlike eevee which was dependent on RNG, and can be influenced with nametrick/walking for Johto's and non gender locked, as well as a lot easier to get en mass/

Metagross is not handicapped by 1 bar moves, he is handicapped by poor 1 bar moves. He has the bulk to handle 1 bar.
Only starters are in Dex order, Eevee CD was after Dratini, mareep and larvitar.

YEs, but it went dratini > mareep > larvitar, there was at the very least some sort of preceding of dex order there as well, but eevee screwed the whole thing up

I always thought Eevee counted as a starter because of the rival in Yellow and the upcoming Let’s Go games, plus it broke the trend of starter -> 10km egg.

I hope this is true. I have been walking a 93% Beldum (hatch from Egg in May '18) for the past 150 km.

As far as Gen 1 and 2 I still think that chansey would be a good CD candidate.

Seven months and 465 beldum candy later I may finally have a reason to evolve my 96% beldum.

What would be the datum for the anticipated beldum event? Because I have got the feeling I'll be abroad if it finds place the weekend of the 20th

Have the details (such as cooldown) for Meteor Mash been confirmed? Just how powerful is Metagross expected to be?

Nothing yet and don't expect the eventual first datamine to have the real stats yet. Remember Blast Burn's nerf 2 days before it was released, we just need to wait until the move is in the game.
