Milotic VS Rayquaza?

I don’t know how to check myself so wanted other opinions on it besides myself. Milotic with dragon tail/blizzard a good counter for the upcoming raids? I understand Mamoswine and Weavile will be supreme but my 2 maxed out milotic want some use too ; P

Uhhhhhhhhh.....No Milotic is not "bad" but vs Rayquaza????? You would be MUCH better using a Piloswine. Yes I said Piloswine, not Mamoswine. Milotic is not really a viable counter to Ray, even with Blizzard.

To the OP, I use the Comprehensive DPS/TDO Spreadsheet on this website to check things like this. FYI it doesn't work so good on mobile devices for some reason.

Milotic's far from a terrible option like agron or lugia, it hits it for ice type damage with charge moves, and dragon from DT as a fast move. The OP also stated that he expressly wanted to use them and milotic was on the previous iteration of the rayquaza counter list, featured as a tank counter, its damage against rayquaza only increases with the effectiveness buff. There might be a lot of new thigns that are substantially better than it but it doesnt make milotic any worse as doing what it did before.

Its not the absolute best pokemon out there, but its far from a 'bad' option because it at least gets some damage out (PB has v general set rayquaza at best friends, Milotic's TTW at around 665 seconds, meaning Milotic's very sizably trio viable and since ray Duo's are so trivial, its still duoble the rest of the team's are made of mamoswine/weavile)

I never said it was bad. And I'm pretty sure the OP doesn't need your permission to use his Milotics. So I read it as he wanted to know if it is a viable counter to Rayquaza, WHICH IT IS NOT!!!!

Again, Piloswine is a much better option. And so are a ton of other mons before Milotic. IF you want to talk about TDO there are a bunch of easily accessible, superior options. In fact, with Dialga in raids it is an easy TDO replacement, and again MUCH BETTER. Rhyperior, Tyranitar, Togekiss, Lapras, Walrein, are all superior TDO counters that also offer higher DPS. Even Weavile has higher TDO and tons more DPS.

Put a little thought into your original response and you won't have to foolishly defend it later.

Yeah, sorry. It just irks me when people come onto a supposedly informational website with the intent on understanding something better and they get nothing but false information and insults. I mean come on this isn't even a matter of opinion, it is cut and dry mathematics.

Dude, you're the one doing all the insulting in this line. OP asked if Milotic was good counter against Rayquaza.

Newsflash: It's not cut-and-dry Mathematics. It's subjective. It depends on how you define "Good".

It's not one I would ever use in a serious manner. It's not a top counter, or even likely a top 10 counter. But it has access to Dragon Tail and Blizzard, it has a respectable stat base, and it takes Neutral damage from everything Rayquaza dishes out. It's not "false information" to state that Milotic is "Good" against Rayquaza.

As for your reading of the OP, the dude clearly stated he has 2 Maxed Milotic (why maxed? Who am I to judge what Pokémon someone decides to max out?) and he wants to know if they will be of any use against Rayquaza. Which, if he has Dragon Tail/Blizzard, will be of use against Rayquaza.

If he uses them in a Short-Man attempt, then he's going to deserve the ridicule the other trainers might give him for making them waste Potions and Revives unnecessarily. That's on him. But to try to claim that this is utterly a matter of cut and dry mathematics is just stupid. Assuming you're not on the Autism spectrum, you're simply looking to find a reason to insult and belittle someone who has a different opinion than you.

Don’t calm down!!! metagross constantly gives out bad info, states his opinions as facts ... refuses to acknowledge when the charts, graphs and even basic math prove him wrong ... He needs to be called on it.... instead of being protected by the more responsible and knowledgeable and respected posters such as yourself .... the fact is the advice he gives and the way he presents it is harmful to less knowledgeable players

A short list of Pokémon that are better than Milotic against Rayquaza, this is just of the top of my head ... I’m sure there are at least a dozen more

Mamoswine With either powder snow or mud slap and avalanche

Weavile with either ice shard or feint attack and avalanche

Jynx with frost breath or pound or confusion and either avalanche or ice punch

Mewtwo with either psycho cut of confusion and ice beam

Piloswine with ice shard or powder snow and avalanche

Polygon-z with hidden power and blizzard

Articuno with forst breath and ice beam or blizzard

Cloyster with frost breath or ice shard and avalanche

Rampardos with smack down and rock slide

Mew with frost breath and blizzard or ice beam

Sneasle with ice shard and avalanche

Lapras with frost breath or ice shard and ice beam

Palikia with double dragon moves

Dragonite with dragon moves

Starmie hidden power and ice beam

Nine tales powder snow and ice beam

Dialga with double dragon moves

Sandslash powder snow and blizzard

Latios with double dragon moves

So yes, it is a terrible option and yet again you have given BAD advice based on your opinions and not facts ... and as usual you have gotten all bent out of shape when called on it... STOP posting your opinions as facts!!!! And please STOP giving bad advice!!!! It’s incredibly hurtful to new and returning players

It's far from the worst thing you can use, but the DPS difference to using one of the top end counters is pretty huge. We're talking about half as much.

I'd say feel free to use them if the group has a large amount of raiders, as long as you don't mind potentially losing out on the damage bonus, but maybe put them away if things are a little tighter.

It has roughly 50% of Mamoswine's DPS and about 65% of its TDO. I feel like D-lister is too generous for it considering options like Regice, HP Ice Starmie, and Empoleon are better all-around picks.

If you like it and want to use it then go ahead, just don't attempt any short-mans with it.

I was asking specifically about the upcoming rayquaza raids. I don’t know how to do those simulations and knew about her stats ect. but unsure about it being better because of level. I have 2 100% lvl 40 with dt /blzd vs a couple around level 30 Mamoswine with ice moves. I appreciate the informed answers it’s interesting learning about what and why. I’ll be using Mamoswine instead. :P thanks guys

It's ok but it doesn't get stab on blizzard and dragon tail does neutral damage on dialga.
I recommend that if you have better options (ideally ice for double weakness) or a rock tyranitar or a rock rhyperior. (But do try to go with ice moves if you got them)

Milotic is definitely passable in this matchup.

For the shortman? Definitely not, but if you've got a handful of strong people with you and don't wanna wipe out (and spend unnecessary revives/potions) then Milotic's bulk with decent DPS will serve you well.
