Hi,
I started to TM my Mew in order to get Shadow Claw / Dark Pulse to use him in raids. After several attempts I got Shadow Claw / Psyshock which is not very good for raids, but I think it could be useful for gyms as Psyshock has STAB. I am wondering if it's worth to keep this moveset, what moveset do you prefer and why, I only have 11 charged TM, not sure if that's enough to get Dark Pulse.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I don’t think Mew is good for raids. 210 attack and no STAB. Best to save the TMs. I have the Shadow Claw/Psyshock Moveset and I like it. Shadow Claw charges fast, Psyshock is a little slow however.

I have SC/Psyshock too, but just at level 25 (13a/15/14) don't use it bc everything else already maxed. My wife got 15a/14/15 at DT/Blizzard and level 25, have about 40 Mew candy left. Then last week my son got 15a/15/14. Born with Grass Knot, not sure what if anything should be done with that Mew, right now has Rock Smash

Unless I miscounted, Mew has a whopping 25 charge moves at its disposal making getting the right one a needle in a haystack situation. Psyshock is actually pretty good for it on the gym front, behind Wild Charge and Grass Knot levels of ideal. There's a pretty good article about Mew that covers its utility; keep in mind the raid section is a tad dated since it was written at the time the Latis and Lugia were in the raid scene: https://pokemongo.gamepress.gg/mewvesets-and-their-place-meta#4

I should add for my personal Mew use, I've used it at level 15 as a fun, low-motivation sweeper. I got lucky and caught it with Wild Charge and dropped about 10 FTM's to pull Shadow Claw. It's fun to use every now and again, but it's not a regular nor am I about to dump dust/candy into it.

I used mine with many different moves to wipe gyms at L33, and I must say I find "Ice Beam" the most useful CM, and "Shadow Claw" the less useful FM. I think "Pound" is the best FM I've used overall, but now I have Frost Breath to specialize on ice-sensitive defenders. Mew is currently my most powerful ice attacker by a mile, by the way.

I dont think its the best idea to use mew in raids, its stats arent really that good and its better moves dont get STAB, ITs better as a gym clearer but i'd think TM's woul be better spent on retooling other pokemon's movets for each raid rotation, like mewtwo (but not ones with shadow ball)

I wouldn’t use TMs on Mew, to get the desired move you have to go through it’s extensive moveset for both fast and charge moves.

That, and everything Mew can do, others can do better. It lacks STAB with the moves you’re looking for, and has 210 attack, which isn’t bad, it’s just outclassed.

My Mew is 96% IVs with Shadow Claw/Ice Beam, so I debated on powering it up for eventual Giratina raids but decided against it, I have better Ghost and Ice Pokemon.

I personally use dragon tail/psyshock as a gym sweeper and it works well. Not sure about shadow claw as the common gym defenders resist ghost. Easy to dodge with psyshock. I like using mew even though there are better options, it just changes it up and makes it more fun .

I have a lvl35 Shadow Claw / Dark Pulse Mew. You aren't missing much, he is not good for raids. I used him on my first Alakazam solo just recently, and almost lost because of him, too slow compared to Mewtwo/Tyranitar/Gengar. I've always used him in Mewtwo raids just for the lulz.
