Metagross with Meteor Mash!
We knew it was coming, but Niantic just confirmed Meteor Mash as the exclusive move for Metagross for CD this weekend.
The most exciting part (to me) is the screenshot in their tweet, which shows Meteor Mash as a two-bar move, something Metagross desperately needed.

There also something called water types.
No one pokemon is perfect on its own, everything has a weakness, gym defenders have other defenders to compensate for their weaknesses, ie like gardevoir after blissey.
Blissey's weakness to machamp brought gardevoir to prominence as a defender for its resistance, the same thing will likely happen with water types for metagross. Every direct buff/nerf to one pokemon indirectly does the same to others, unless everyone thinks that isnt what occurs when a game changes, only the direct nerf of buff effecting the specific target and nothing else.
I never said water wasnt relevant, but its former glory days had slipped past me, I got into the meta around the time of FP venusaur who more or less whipped vaporeon away.
It'd be nice to see a large metashift, I mostly throw my gyarados in gyms because high CP + fighting resistance (which basically is all the meta's boiled down to, normal tanks + fighting resistance), hopefully it and other water types get some use from metagross' meteor mash one defense.
