Metagross Duo

How difficult?

My educated guesstimate is quite difficult: my Gengar team (supplemented by one blast burn Charizard) only manages about 44% after lobbying and heal time

According to Pokebattler, my maxed Tyranitar has 426s-436s TTW with no dodging in extreme weather. In fog, its TTW drops to 359-369s.

Im pretty sure its an impossible duo without weather boost.

From what I say on pokebattler, a team of 6 maxed moltres *might* be able to duo without boost, but checking again, im not so sure.

It's like alolan marrowak or togetic, in its high Defense and and its comparatively low natural HP, when set to the raid boss standard, make it so hard.

Moltres gets 351,8s TTW with 11 deaths against averaged movesets with BF, no WB. How does that look impossible to you?
It's also worth remembering that Pokebattler results are averaged from a large number of sims, it displays the most likely outcomes. For reference, soloing Tyranitar looks impossible on PB, with 186-189s TTW for Machamp in Cloudy. Yet it's possible, because RNG.

Thats a time to win of more than 5 minutes, thats more than the time it gives to battle a raid

I also said it might be possible but I am not sure, not "This is definitely an impossible duo" without boost

For duo divide by 2 for an estimate, or look at the estimator which is very close to 2. It's definitely possible with good RNG.

Pokebattler's TTW is with a single player using a party of 6 of that pokemon. For duo, you divide it by two, for trio you divide by three, etc. Moltres being under 360 means it clearly has enough DPS for the duo.

Thank you for letting me know how the Ui works, it would seem strange that it included friend bonus but only one battler, but that was me not understanding how it worked.

“Impossible” LoL depending on weather and move sets and friendship level its very doable.... seriously dude do you even play Pokémon Go?

Yes, I do play GO. I ma not use pokebattler much, as I only recently was introduced to it, as I primarily relied on GP for my info. Pokebattler's ttw for moltres is greater than 5 minutes, which last I checked is more than the allowed time for a raid.

Now if the way it sets this is a single person in the raid and not two people using the same pokemon that should be more clearly stated (ie this being the time to win for a single person using a moltres) then that is more doable. However since there is a friendship setting, that would lead me to believe this is a 2 people doing moltres.

It may be me not understanding the pokebattler UI, but that is all I saw.

Very difficult. With BF and no weatherboost, both players need 5-6 maxed Moltres. Against FC sets you can substitute a few Moltres for SC/L Gengar, or if you can relobby very fast, go with a full Gengar team with 1 rejoin.

Will the Metagross from raid get Meteor Mash??

It tried few days ago with BF trainer. We used all gengars (some of lick/shadow claw) vs Metagross flash canon. But it failed. It seems we need more Moltres.
