I have 2 91% IV Beldum, and i know that metagross is great for countering alot of faries, but after the dragonite event with draco meteor, it got me a bit paranoid that they may do a metagross event like it.
Is this just wishful thinking, or does it seem plausible for more Pseudo-legendary community days?

There may eventually be a Community Day starring Metagross, but it is unlikely to be before Gen V is released.

Dratini, Bulbasaur and Charmander are from Gen I; only one Gen II species (Mareep) has been featured. Squirtle is expected to be among the next two.

I see, and likely they'd probably do the starters from gen II and III as well. Depending on the community day after charmander i may evolve them.

starter-rare 10k hatch-starter-rare 10k...

there are not many rare 10k egg hatches left from gen 1 and 2 that have not been available in raids. Since Miltank, Lapras and Snorlax have no evolution, I seriously doubt they would be part of community day. So then what are we talking... Chansey, Tangela, Lickitung, Pineco? Some of those are moved to 5k eggs. Tangela and Lickitung don't get their evolution until gen 3.

So I'm wondering if we'll see one of those more rare gen 3 units like Slakoth/Ralts/Lileep/Bagon/Beldum by the end of summer. Lileep makes sense.

I think it would be funny to see Slakoth with a special fast move... Struggle. But I know that's not happening.

The short answer is: Nobody knows. I'm not sure even Niantic know the answer ;)

At some point we will probably see Beldum at a Community Day, but will it be next month, in three months, in a year? We have no idea.

So far we've seen Pokemon that hatches from 10km eggs every other month and starter Pokemon inbetween.
Pikachu, Dratini, Bulbasaur, Mareep, Charmander....

So next month (june 16) we will probably see a Pokemon from 10km eggs, so it might be Beldum, but there are a few others to chose from.
As for the Community Day on july 8, I guess we will see Squirtle seeing as we've already had Pikachu, Bulba and Charmander.

So if there's no Beldum in June (and personally I think there are other Pokemon we should get before that one), we will have to wait until August for another chance.

How many faeries do you see in gyms that you might need a specialist for them? You can also use high damage fire pokemon as a neutral attacker that resist fairy moves against all but Azumarill. Moltres, Entei, Flareon, Arcanine, soon Charizard.

I see a lot of them but the most common one is Gardevoir, which happens to be countered well by Mewtwo anyway. I was using Metagross until I realized that Mewtwo is just better for the job since it works so well as a generalist. Additionally, Raikou is strong enough to destroy any fairy type in a completely neutral matchup and have enough hp left to take on 1-2 water mons afterwards.

This is the main reason I haven't evolved my 100% Beldum. If Meteor Mash gets introduced Metagross could be a frightening attacker.

I'm going to boldly predict beldum to be the June community day star. I have reasons:

- Pikachu (special - sort of starter)
- Dratini (gen 1 - 3 stage rare)
- Bulbasaur (starter)
- Mareep (gen 2 - 3 stage rare)
- Charmander (starter)
-----------------------
PREDICTIONS
-----------------------
- Beldum (gen 3 - 3 stage rare)
- Squirtle (starter)

If I'm predicting for the right reasons, then Ralts, Slakoth or Bagon probably also make sense, but Metagross missing meteor mash makes it the "easiest" IMO).

Personally, I think we'll see Machop and Larvitar before we see Beldum. Maybe I'd think about saving a 100% Beldum as Meteor Mash does seem likely down the line. But otherwise, Metagross is far from an essential attacker so I'd be evolving 91-98% myself.

I would agree that Larvitar would seemingly be a likely candidate for a community day before Beldum.

That said, I hope we don't get a Machop community day any time soon, given that we just had two events (Kanto and Battle Showdown events) that had Machops spawning left and right. Not to mention, Dynamic Punch is already a stellar charge move, so a CD exclusive move would be hard pressed to top it.

While I agree wholeheartedly that we don't need any more Machops, I think the noticeable absence of shiny Machop during the showdown event was a clear indicator that a community day is coming in the future, or then they're saving it for some other kind of event.

I think it's a smart move too because many people would be very excited for the shiny, probably in part for its resemblance of a certain marvel superhero.

If you're expecting a Machop community day, what do you think the special move would be? Presumably, it would have to be better than Dynamic Punch, and the Min/Max players would want to have an army of 6 of them, which would require a lot of work in three hours. Boggles the mind, ....
