Least liked Pokemon?

Aipom: Utterly irritating to catch and useless.
Whismur: Ugly, irritating to catch, almost useless (pidgey substitute)
Regice: If it was not for rare candy and XP, who would bother?

Aipom became very common in my area a couple of months ago and I find it pretty useful for "throw X curveball throws in a row" quests. The species I don't bother to try to catch anymore is Murkrow. It is just the worst.
I agree on whismur, Exploud looks sorta cool but it couldnt be more useless.
Mark my words: one day legendaries will be allowed in gyms and my perfect Regice will be placed in a few some times but not that many. At least its super easy to catch.
I can't stand rattata and pidgey escaping so often from balls. They should catch themselves. But Murkrow takes the scumbag crown. F*ck Murkrow.

Some saving grace for Murkrow is that it may be shiny, and probably a decent trade object as such.

It is also, in some circles, a competition to have most Murkrow candy, people even use pinapple to boost it.

I agree on use for Aipom. Regice is probably the best target for "3 execellent curveball in a row", others get caught to easy :-)

An average player won't have a 100% after 2000 caught since their natural odds are 1/4096. 2000 without a shiny would be very bad luck, but all of those catches probably weren't after the shiny was released.

The saving grace for Murkrow was when it was the only easy way to build up one's dark badge. Now there's Poocheyna, and a few others. Much easier to catch.

Aipom is awful, as is Sudowoodo.

Blissey; good for nothing but hogging gyms.

GRB feeders just state clearly "No, I still want this gym, go away and tear down something else" - totally ok in my book. But Blissey is a pain. It defends not by being strong, but by being boring. I would like to see a mechanism, where the defender has a real chance of fending of the attacker.

that's why I'd rather see us have to send 2 mons to beat 6. it would be a challenge sometimes. lower level players could send 3 or 4.

For what little gymming I did in the old days, going up against a gym of 10 Pokemon with only 6 of your own was a nice challenge, even if those 10 were all the same Pokemon.

Sudowoodo, Murkrow, Aipom and Nosepass. Crappy catch rate and terrible stats to boot. At least all of them except Sudowoodo have Gen 4 evolutions.

I'm cool with Whismur since they're relatively easy to catch, and I raid tier 5s for the TMs and RC, these matter the most to me.

I hate hatching Sudowoodo, but catching it is great. Sometimes I just watch him dance. Also: easy catch

Aipom is my bane. It took me until the 3rd or 4th one to even get a pokedex entry on that bastard.

Whismur is my preferred grinding pokemon. Pidgey is too expensive to catch. Whismurs are easier to catch for sure. They jump around too much, but you can learn to time it.

I hated Nosepass until research came out. It is easy to get the 3x great throws or even excellent throws. I usually don't bother to actually catch it, though.

Murkrow is the king bastard. I've seen it break out of critical catches. That guy gives no fucks at all.

Illumise. Hard-to-catch, useless Bug. Just...why?

Aipom and Regice are both excellent for farming skill throws for quests.

I particularly hate Dunsparce. It's hard to throw at, moderately hard to catch and doesn't evolve. The only halfway decent thing about it is that as a normal type it often gives extra stardust from weatherboost.

"If it was not for the rare candy or the XP, who would bother?" ...Because rare candy and XP are what makes the Pokemon world go around. almost everyone I see at a raid isn't there for the boss. It's hardly a revelation that people are farming rare candy and XP and not their 21st legendary that month...regardless of what it is.

Catching crappy pokemon is the most accessible and simple mechanic to leveling up. They also complete tasks. Even rattatas have a gold badge if that stuff matters to you.

If all you ever caught was Larvitars, Dragonites, Machops and raids you'd have an extremely boring - and low level - trainer.

Whismur is 12 candy to evolve. It's on par with a pidgey and you can whismur farm for XP. i LOVE those little pink dudes. ...And I'm level 40. Pidgey is one of the most utilitarian catches in the game. Whismur is a welcome addition. Don't be a hater!

Further, a weather buffed Whismer evolved once to Loudred makes a very good disposable gym defender. More important when revives were scarce, before gifts, but still useful.

Paras: Used to be the bane of my Go existence, always breaking out or jumping at the last second when throwing a ball

Murkrow: Same reason everyone else hates it. For some reason I keep catching wonders of these shit birds in the upper 20's - lower 30's. Honchkrow better be worth something, but I doubt it

Spheal: They've convinced me the catch circle color doesn't mean shit. How do they routinely break out of at least 2 balls when there's even a hint of green in the circle, much less full green?

EDIT: Luvdisc is a piece of shit that has no business being as hard to catch as it is.

Honchkrow has a base attack stat of 243 and potential for very good movesets. I and my 6,5k Murkrow candy have hope.

I feel you on Luvdisc.

That's surprisingly not too far off from Tyranitar. Given the right moves it could out-DPS it. Shame about it being nowhere near as bulky though.

Castform... the worst. I purposely use my go plus at home so he can run and I don’t have to see 4-5 of the on the catch screen.

Every Starter outside of Community Day. And Pikachu.

Don't know why I bother trying to catch them, even a level 5 is going to require a berry and/or Great/Ultra Ball and a Curveball to catch.

The rest... meh. Don't disagree with anything on the list so far. (though I've had really good luck with some of the Pokémon others have hated, like Dunsparse and Paras, so...) And if the Starters were as easy to catch as the rest of the Pokémon at their levels, they wouldn't be on my Hate list.

Mostly what I don't like about Pokémon is balance - Pidgeot is not a good Pokémon in Pokémon Go outside of being worth up to 625 Stardust if you catch it while Weather Boosted. But if the cost for powering up Pidgeot was say 50% of what it would cost to power up a Dragonite (Evolution is already 50%, make it 50% candies per Power Up and 50% Stardust too), then powering up a Pidgeot becomes an option. Pidgeot isn't the best Air Attacker by any means, but making it cheaper to power up gives it at least a little bit of a use - something it is entirely lacking right now. Not saying this is the best way to give lesser Pokémon relevance, but I'd really like there to be SOME way to make these Pokémon relevant - I don't like the idea that a Second Stage evolution is entirely useless, when it should have some actual value for game play.

I have come to loath and detest Trapinch - which is partially due to them being ugly and useless but mostly due to the fact that 95% of my 10k eggs have turned out to be them since they were released. I have never seen one in the wild but my pokedex shows me as 18 for 18. It has got to the point where I am tempted to let out a primal scream of frustration every time another one hatches.

For me, it's Pikachu, hands down. This is mostly due to the plethora of "special" events Niantic has thrown at us where, time and time again, the featured Mon is Pikachu with a silly hat. For awhile, I took advantage of these opportunities to get closer to completing my gold Pikachu Fan medal. Once that was completed, Pikachu and it's assortment of hats went back to the top of my list of Pokemon I really don't care for at all.
