Incompetent noob players in raids are annoying

When i go to a tier 4 raid like Absol and Charizard, i'm expected to win with less than 6 people right?

Unfortunately in hong kong, it is not the case.

People keep telling me how Absol can be duoed and charizard/tyranitar can be trioed, but as far as i know if you see 2 or 3 people, sometimes even 5 in a tier 4 raid you're basically dead because of noob players. In small, elite communities people have more knowledge about what they are doing but in big communities like hong kong it's frustrating to see.

To put it short people begin using random stuff against raid bosses in my area. It began with Suicunes against Entei, Aggron on Anything or Blisseys against anything but people can use basically anything against a T4 or T5. I've saw almost every instance of noob out there and the sky is not the limit. You have no idea until you raided in a public group here.

For this one time i saw am absol and tried to raid it. I saw another player, he was like level 39, but guess what? He used random stuff like Groudon, Lugia (YES, Lugia is weak to absol, does not matter), Ho-oh and other random stuff to begin with. For god's sake if you are level 39 you should have the brain to use 6 machamps. Then another 4 players came in and we fought the Absol again and i saw one of the guys was using an Exeggutor, then others are using Legendaries that don't counter it. I'm pretty sure i am the only one with machamps in that group. (In fact in almost all instances of absol raids that i had paid attention to, most people are using Groudon, Kyogre or Ho-oh)

Another story is that i saw a charizard. Needless to say i saw 2 people, but while i was using 5 Golems and a Kyogre, the other guy was running subpar stuff like HYPER BEAM Dragonite (No shit i really saw him using Hyper Beam) and of course i did not make it. This is followed by 2 other players, one was totally underleveled, other was 36 but then they begin to run Exeggutors, Kinglers and Vaporeons. Needless to say the raid was over and i wasted a pass raiding with literal noobs.

And yes that was the "Forced to solo charizard yesterday" thing on my previous post, sorry for my horrible description skills but I looped around 2 times exiting 30 secs because i was in a one man room before the battle started until this happened. Didn't even bothered entering battle room until these noobs came in (And i have no idea about these people are noobs)

Please before you raid learn some proper counters against each raid boss and don't just throw in random stuff so other more competent players won't waste 100 coins and time for frustration.

lol this was funny. I love it when you're miserable. Is it possible for someone like you to make 'competent' friends who you can raid with? Anyway, anyone is entitled to use any mon they want in any raid battle, so quit the pointless whinging.

You are the only incompetent noob here.

Let's not make things personal. There is no need to insult. I often disagree with posts made by Mr-ex777, but I try to keep it friendly.

You are right. I have made the necessary amendments to my original reply, using only the term that he's used to describe others in the OP.

I am being neutral here and I do agree with the OP.. TBH, are you serious when you say anyone is entitled to use any mon in a raid battle? So for example, when you raid against Machamp, will you use 6 x Tyranitar? LMAO if you do.. Unless you have a big group, you don't simply use any mons.. You will be wasting your time and others and not to mention the raid pass and maybe coins..

Your comment was seriously being a personal attack towards OP and not being logical at all..

"TBH, are you serious when you say anyone is entitled to use any mon in a raid battle? So for example, when you raid against Machamp, will you use 6 x Tyranitar?"

Of course anyone is entitled to use *any* mon in a raid battle. Everyone has the freedom to use a Rattata in a raid if they want to, that was my point. Unless you're in North Korea and Jong-un dictates what Pokemon you use in every raid.

You don't have to waste 100 coins and time. Use private groups and get a bunch, of other players you know play the game like you do.

If you use the public raid room you get to play alongside, all of those who join it. Even if the try to take legendary with 6 Raticates, they are able to do that. That's how you currently can play the game, sorry.
You have an option not to participate, though. And if you are able to, ask them what Pokémon they will use, and what attacks they have, and then make the decision if your in, or out.

Or, if you see people using less-than-optimal counters, you could, y'know, say something to them. I've met people who raid in my area who went into raids with all sorts of suboptimal counters. Not because they're dumb, but because they didn't have the knowledge of what to use or where to go to find that information. And so a few of us told them, "hey, for future reference *insert mons here* would be a much better choice because *insert weaknesses/resistances. Also, check out this site called Gamepress, as they have super helpful guides." And you know what? They've gone from strangers using bad Pokemon to regulars in our raid crew, and their Mons kick ass. Sometimes, giving people some helpful info can go a long way. Moreso that complaining on the internet. Again.

Also, while we're on the subject of noobs, weren't you the one trying to solo a tier 4 raid because you "didn't have a choice?" Because... yeah. That's also not smart.

Actually i did not try to solo it because if i see nobody is there in a t4 raid but me and 30 secs are left i sod off. Don't take the word literally.

"Forced to Solo Charizard yesterday."

This quote from you in your previous post says differently about you trying to solo a tier 4 raid.

Lol?
Dude I play this game with my family. I was competitive in VGC stuff on the actual game but for this I tell my mom what's likely to work, and then what she likes. Machamp and Hariyama are the best but guess what, I leveled a Blaziken hard because I think he's cooler.
And maybe they dont have 6 Machamps. I've been playing forever, have every legendary, and I sure as hell don't have 6 fighting Pokemon maxed out that are 80% or higher IVs.
Let people enjoy the game.
Nice rage tho.

I was at a Rayquaza raid just an hour ago, and there were *only* 7 people, mostly level 35+. Some people were doubting that it was possible, and I showed them a 5-man with 60 seconds left (it was a random public lobby). And they commented, "Must be all level 40." The reality, no one in that lobby was level 40. All high-30s. I always check lobbies for average trainer level when attempting any T5 with less than 10 players.

Then during the battle, while I was using Gardevoirs, Ice-types, Dragonites, and my 2 electric legends (auto-selected), I saw stuff like Thunder Aggron, Groudon, WATERFALL Gyarados, and another Gardevoir using Psychic (the charge move). Fortunately we made it in the end with 18 seconds left.

It should take 4 good players (3 excellent) to beat Aerial Ace and Ancient Power charge moves, even that can give a group of four 70-90 seconds to spare. I suspect much of this has to do with being unable to revive key attackers after their 2nd or 3rd Rayquaza of the day (and/or using extra accounts that have no health from the get-go).

Love your attitude OP! Those noobs suck!

All those noobs should be banned from raids until they stop using those sub optimal counters.

I once saw someone using a Pidgeot in a raid!! No joke. Ban those noobs.

In Singapore, raiders sometimes chat with each other while waiting for the egg to hatch or at the catch screen, so frequent raiders generally know what to use. Of course, we do get the occasional idiot who brings Blissey or attackers who are weak to the raid boss.

Very accurate description of Singapore's raiding scene.
And yes, I've seen Gyaradoses being used in several Zapdos and Raikou raids, and people telling me off for using Dragonite against Rayquaza.

Dragonite is better then the ice attacker when it is windy, even if it has outrage, 6 max dragonite still damage 12% of the boss HP, while non-outrage will results in 23%

The main problem is easy XP that has made it easy for players to level up super fast without having the resources to power up good pokemon, or without having the time to learn what good pokemon are.

Though I shouldn't be, I'm still shocked that people in my town who are using XP crutches to zoom up the level chart STILL don't know how to play this game. I was raiding with four other players yesterday, who were bragging that they were climbing rapidly (all L36 and up), and ALL OF THEM said they just use Autoselect when raiding. So, 10 MILLION XP into this game and:

* No knowledge of counters.
* No knowledge of bonus balls.
* No knowledge of raid bundles.
* No knowledge of battle parties.

So, basically, we were fighting Ray with my optimized team and a bunch of Aggron. So many paper tigers in the game these days. Many of them don't even know how to throw a curve ball, or that it gives you a catch rate advantage.

But they've each spoofed the same 100 perfect Pokemon from scanner maps and think they're great trainers.

Oh, well, more bonus balls for me.

In my area, I can't even get extra balls because nobody is even willing to short-man T5 raids with me to start with.

Different from the main games, you don’t really need much type knowledge to level up in GO. That’s why in the early days I have seem a few absurd situations like high level players using Dragonite against Articuno... Now it’s less common but you still see high level people using really bad counters.
