I CAUGHT ROTOM....

I caught rotom! or so I thought... I looked at my phone at 1 am. thought it was the first rotom ever.. so i got out of bed drove over.. turned out to be a glitch or bug that turned into a ditto... has anyone else found this error?

This is such a tease and a prank... I was hoping for an Easter egg or even an actual rotom... like that one time Niantic prereleased articuno... Welp hope you guys enjoyed this!

Exactly. Now look at all the Dittos I have as a result

It started as soon as our CD finished...all were either Ditto or Chikorita.
All spawns switched to this as the event ended

Those bloody things are everywhere! It's silver body looks like a small version of ditto's, I dunno about the golden hexagonal nut-thing.

I thought it was an unown. Ran out of the park like crazy to reach the first one. It turned into a ditto. I was like "CRAP! I ran all the way here and didn't evolve to get FP on the rest of the shinies!" Evolved them anyway, got FP until 15:30 (30 minutes past event's end).

Yeah would have been the perfect way to introduce shiny ditto. But apparently this "incognito" critter either may be a new pokemon (probably ditto steel type evolution Animon) or kecleon placeholder.

Why would you think that was Rotom?

In the nearby it looked like fan Rotom. It was also 1:30ish AM and Rotom is a ghost. So that’s what I originally thought until I saw it in person. Aparently this is either marketing stunt or glitch
