How much did you burn your soles?

I was curious to see just how much I've walked. I've got 1,961 km walked so far, minus maybe 100 km that the GPS drift added in when I left the phone on, because I've seen some eggs hatch while I'm at home.

3452km. I used to actually run while playing the game. Now mainly run back to my car after I stop at a park before work. Hatched 1302 eggs.

I don't have a car so I sometimes find myself running after raids that I spot at the end of their timer. But normally I just walk slightly faster than normal. When my mom joins me she complains that I walk too fast, lol.
Only 574 eggs hatched so far, even though I hatch 1 or 2 almost daily.
Also: 1,742 battles won, 7069 hours defended.

5500 battles won, barely got Ace trainer 1017; 14000 hours defended, 15 gold gyms.

Nice! I only have 8 gold gyms, most of them being from the park nearby.

I envy people from countries that speak languages other than English...at least y'all get something beneficial from the game. Uh, I get some addition with occasional multiplication.

What benefits (aside from physical activity which all countries allow for)? Or is it about the miles vs km stuff? Does the game have a switch between the measurements?

Players outside of the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand get to type and think in English when they otherwise might not. I "know" Spanish, my wife is fluent and my toddler son goes to a Spanish immersion school...I'd last 15 minutes on a Spanish BB, even if I had a huge interest in the topic.

Yeah we do tend to prefer English but many probably do so out of necessity more than liking it. I like it, seems easier than my native language (Romanian), does not need any special symbols, and sounds cooler too. Japanese also sounds interesting, but also as complicated as its symbols...

I sometimes go for a run with the app open as well. If I hadn't fed up with the EX system and quit for a while I would have 300km more (Draconius go tracked these...)

I wish I had something to tie my phone to my arm, that way I'd run and catch without fearing I'd lose it. When I chase after raids, I always have to be careful not to let my very thin phone slip.

Mine says 1249 km. Im guessing only about 800 of that is legit walking though

Sometimes it feels like it doesn't even factor in all the walking actually. I put a 2 km egg, I leave from home all the way to the 2nd closest park which is about the same distance, and yet my egg STILL doesn't hatch until I walk around that park a few times.

Yeah I have better luck walking down straight roads than walking tracks. But I also have eggs hatching while driving too so maybe it all evens out in the end

The only vehicle I got access to that actually counts any distance at all is the tramway, because it's slow enough. Buses and trains are too fast, i can't even spin pokestops in them. Nor capture anything.

Offset by the fact that PoGo doesn't count all the distance properly unless you walk mostly along long straight paths.

Now that it is freezing cold outside and the roads are at times icy, I don't walk as much as I normally do.

As I try to set small goals for me when it comes to distance, XP, caught Pokemon, completion of Pokedex and Stardust, I am right now aiming at 6000km.
Need something to aim for apart from reaching level 40.

I haven't been outside as much either, I still got 30-40% battery left now when i return home. I'd totally drain it during summer. I got a powerbank but even that gets drained pretty fast.
