62: My whole town plus 3 gyms in a different country, so I don't feel the need to chase more unless I move to a different town/city.

38, almost all are from my home city and one remote forest gym that I needed to visit twice. Jumped up from 11 to 32 during the month that we had the fighting event and been going slow ever since. There's hundreds of gyms still left in the city and I probably don't even have the badges to a quarter of them at all but there's not much motivation to make new gold ones outside of my usual play areas.
