How do you register a pokestop?

The old method of registering a new pokestop through settings is gone, how is it done now? There's a new Starbucks by by house, and what's a Starbucks without a pokestop?

Answers

One way is to register it as a portal in Ingress, but that would require you to be level 10 in Ingress (of 16). And I don't think it would turn into a sponsored stop then.

Otherwise, I think you have to be in Brazil or Peru for that to work in GO.
