"We’re in for some legendary battles, and the overall result will be exciting! If Rayquaza is defeated more than Kyogre and Groudon combined, Pokémon that typically prefer windy weather (for example, Bagon) are more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5 to March 16. If not, Pokémon that prefer sunny or rainy weather (like Trapinch or Lotad) are more likely to hatch."
NOBODY RAID GROUDON OR KYOGRE!!! NOBODY!!!!
They tend to do this. I hadn't powered up my Groudon or Kyogre yet because I had a feeling this would happen after (or during) Rayquaza.
Unfortunately this doesn't help me at all. I already have 248 Kyogre candies from some investment (meaning every Kyogre I catch would be an utter waste unless I were to power a second one), and I only need a few Groudon candies to hit that number.
Moreover, my best Kyogre and Groudon is 98%, meaning I'm highly unlikely to encounter a better one.
I think I'll stick with Rayquazas for the candy and the Bagon/Ralts/Beldum hatch bonus. I'm sure I'll be in the minority, though.
