Grass Knot roserade question
GK roserade is one of the most hyped things in the new move additions:
For sure, it makes roserade a better attacker than with solar beam, I don’t contest that.
However I’ve also seen statements (forgot where, probably TSR) like “FP venusaur is finally beaten in DPS” or “well at least I don’t have to farm for treecko anymore as sceptile CD won’t be better than this” or “GK Breloom had 5 days of fame” etc.
First off according to the numbers on this page, Gk had lower theoretical DPS than Solar Beam if I’m reading it right? It’s split in two but two GKs take longer than 1 SB, damage window notwithstanding.
So am I right to say that GK only improved the usability of Roserade, but did NOT actually increase its DPS? Therefore some of the above comments that suggested a climb in DPS is inaccurate?

Interesting. So it does gain DPS apparently. I suspect this will hinge on the assumption that Roserade can fire 3 grass knots while only 1 solar beam, or any multiple of 2K+1 grass knots, K being the number of solar beams it can fire in the first place.
Not a bad assumption to make for sure, but wanted more clarity on that front if anyone else can elaborate.
EDIT:
So I'm sure most will agree that Venusaur going from SB to FP is a DPS gain. Same with Breloom going from seed bomb to GK. Those were flat out better moves than the predeccesor. I wanted to know if GK is the case over Solar Beam is simply a DPS smooth out (implicitly causing DPS gain) or a straight up boost.
