Garbage in regular eggs needs to be scrapped completely.

Anyone who thinks putting street garbage in the 2km and 5km egg pool right in christmas is a right idea is out of his mind.

The following street tier trash can be hatched from 2kms and 5kms:

* 2km: Zubat, Nidoran, Kricketot, Slowpoke,
* 5km: Seedot, Electrike, Ponyta, Poliwag, Horsea, Bellsprout, Cubone, Growlithe, Magnemite
* 10km: Drifloon

I have no idea why anyone thought that putting these shit into the egg pool is a good idea when an egg distance reduction event is on the horizon. What is even worse is while if all the crap is just crap i'm still fine, they have the chutzpah to put Croagunk in the 5kms so they can scrape your egg incubators. I had NEVER hatched a Croagunk before.

Then again i have to remind you that i had got myself 50+ 7km eggs and i had not saw a single one of the new babies, the hatch rate of those i think is close to 0. I've gave up hatching the 7kms completely now, they need to be reduced to 3 or 4km.

Please REMOVE TRAPINCH FROM 10KM EGGS! Almost everytime I hatch a 10k I've got one of them. It's so annoying!

Ever since PvP came out, I'm actually ok with hatching Trapinch, since Flygon is quite good in both the great and ultra tiers. I'm wishing I had kept some of the better ones I'd hatched previously, so now I'm after a new one.

BlameScott understates the case. Flygon is a beast in PvP. I'm buddied with Trapinch now, because as a free player, I don't buy lots of incubators and cycle eggs to get enough of them.

Half of everything we thought we knew about the game is no longer true with PvP. Earthquake is great. Zap Cannon is exactly as good as Solar Beam and Overheat. Gengar with a zero attack stat is awesome, but not as awesome as something with flatter stats. Legendaries with 10/10/10 IVs can play in some leagues that higher IVs can't. Will we eventually get a 2k CP league, or a 'juniors' league at maybe 800 CP? How about a 3.5k league, so most of the strong stuff is fine, but the CP kings like Mewtwo, Rayquaza and Kyogre have to be lower level? And what's going to happen when they decide that PvP needs tweaking, and shift the balances a bit, making everything we worked out now inaccurate?

The only constant is change. Expect the unexpected. If you're not prepared for it, you'll get run over by it.

I hatched about 20 (8x10k) eggs since the event started. Notable mentions include a larvitar and 2 beldums.
Everything else garbage. No shinies, no babies, no pefects.
(To be fair I did hatch a roserade baby about a week ago)
I don't bother with 7k eggs, too expensive and not worth it. I'm gonna have my incubators for even there's a candy or stardust bonus (which should've been included in this event-_-)

6 7Ks for the event.. one Munchlax, two Budew, and then some Alolans.

Just now my friend hatched a Magikarp from a 5km egg. Good for him though, he needs to complete that “Evolve a Magikarp” task.

Honestly, what were you expecting? Niantic is a business and incubator whales are very profitable customers.

Don't spend money on hatching unless you're prepared to use a LOT of it. Expect nothing, enjoy if you get something good regardless. It's just a game.

This is the problem with a quickly expanding game. Especially for new players, finding enough of ANY pokemon to evolve it is a difficult task. Finding even a Magicarp is difficult now (especially in a non-rainy, non-coastal area). When you double the amount of 'things' and don't drastically change the spawn rates, then the rate of appearance for ANYTHING goes down. Eggs are no different. Niantic will need to fundamentally change the egg system (they are already starting with having new releases and specials in the 7km). My druthers would be to use 2km as a catch-all (since you can hatch them quickly) and keep 5km and 10km for the 'useful' and candy-intensive stuff like Dratini, and yes Trapinch and Magicarp (gotta get 400 candies somehow). Using the 7km eggs for special/new releases before phasing them into 5km and 2km eggs would make sense.

But if I get one more Alolan Meowth I swear.....
