Follow up question re: ex pass locations

If you have received an ex pass that was not in a sponsored gym,

what kind of place was the gym located? Park, garden, mall, local business, middle of the street, etc?

I received one a few weeks ago at a remote gym located in a garden not one of the most popular raiding spots. Didn't manage to catch mewtwo btw.

That remote gym, what kind of raid have you done there?
Was it a legendary raid? How many players for that raid?

Remote is probably not exactly accurate. It is the furthest walk from the Garden parking lot and gets the least amount of attention. As far as I know there were 2 large legendary raids that happened there in a 1 month period. Each one has about 12-20 people. There were also some others that must have done tier 1-3 raids there.

I don't have a pass, but some people from my city's raid group do have one. It's just a random gym really, a statue next to an office building fairly central within the city. Reasonably active I guess. I raided there a couple of months ago. Nothing particularly special to report about it :-)

Edit: I'm UK based by the way, so we don't have sponsored gyms (that I'm aware of).

I didn't receive a pass this time, but many from my group did. It's at a very small park right in the middle of a neighborhood. Also of note, it is an area about 45 minutes from Seattle, somewhat rural, and literally two blocks up the street from the last EX raid we had in our area. This gym is one of the least raided in the area.

did players who receive the ex raid pass remember when they raided that gym?
were they a big group when they did the raid?

This group did a raid there two weekends back, so less than two weeks ago. I sat that one out. There seem to be way fewer passes this time around. Seems like just that group of 12-14 got them. There were about 30 of us at the one down the street last time around.

We couldn't find a pattern here in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Seems completely random (to a certain extent of course).

I notice that certain gyms do have more legendary raids than others tho. So the algoritme certainly tries to find patterns when deciding where to release a legendary raid.
