Finally participated in a legendary raid!

The cold managed to eat away all but 30% of my battery, my external one was still no match and got wasted too, my character kept sticking to pokestops, but I finally got there in time and everyone arrived too. We battled Lugia but then my battery died just as Lugia was defeated. One of the raiders was kind and allowed me to use his external battery and I caught Lugia too. It's one of my favorite pokemon. It's a 14/14/12 89%, which is still ok. I hope to participate at more raids with them.

Awesome! Congrats that is a good catch, too. It also gives you a place to store any rare candy you have or may soon get. That first run of Lugia I caught 4/15...haven’t been able to try it on the return yet

Sweet! Nice to hear your first legendary raid went well. Hopefully, future raids will go just as smooth and you'll find a Lugia with higher IVs. Maybe even a shiny at that. :-)

Yeah, hoping that the Lati bros will be one of the next raids soon, I like Latios a lot. On 25th I'm meeting up with one or two players i know off the facebook group, hoping the weather will be good.

Yeah, Latios is awesome. Maybe you could even do some raids at EX-eligible gyms during that day and possibly get an EX Raid Pass or two.

If I remember right, long ago the museum gym I've been to today had a Sponsored on top but it's no longer saying that now. Neither does the other gym where I had the invitation to. But if Lugia arrives at that same gym I'll go again. I just hope the ones from this group will be invited, if the ones from the other group do no chance of EX Raid for me if they'll pull off the same card they did last time.

Well, if I hadn't been so hesitant to talk to the few players I've seen last summer while I was low level, that situation could have been avoided. I just wish I knew how to start a conversation, I mean aside from saying "Hi." I have not really socialized ever since 2015 when my TV school ended.

I'm not very social myself, so in a way, I can understand what you mean. Maybe it could be different this upcoming summer. More people are always outdoors during summer, and will most likely be playing PoGO.

Yeah, ever since winter came, the park sure has been pretty abandoned player-wise. I only saw a girl attack a gym, and as soon as I went near she just ... walked away and stopped attacking. O.o
I see some activity from the distance, but I cannot confirm whether they're there or they're spoofing. Some take gyms at crazy hours like 1-3 AM and I got a great view of the park's gym situation from where I live.

Yeah, I remember seeing that view when you showed your Wailord in one of those gyms haha, definitely a good view. A park of that size should definitely fill up nicely with people during the summer. :]

Last summer it sadly didn't. Just a few of them going either alone or in pairs and it took many evenings until I've spotted them. Non-playing people were indeed everywhere though, some took their kids there at hours as late as 10 pm!

Damn, that's crazy! I've never stayed in a park that late before, but it's usually because there's literally no one around at that time lol. I'm surprised to hear not many people were playing PoGO in that park during the summer. Seems big enough where you might spot a decent number of players walking around and catching Pokémon, or just to socialize with other players.

Well, it's illuminated at night (except for a few days where the whole light grid got busted for some reason and it went dark as a forest) and it's guarded by at least 2 guards I keep seeing around there.
And yeah it is surprising that there aren't many players, since it has one of the largest nests in Bucharest. What it lacks though is more variation in what else spawns. There's Herastrau that has pretty much everything, ice types, rock types, ground types, grass types, bug types, water types (especially near the lake)... it beats Kiseleff (the park near me) because of that.

Tell me about it. About 95% of the time, I'm stuck catching the usual guys, like Pidgey, Ratatta, Natu, Murkrow, Whismur, Spheal, and Numel, and that's usually all I see on nearby. Sometimes, I do get lucky and encounter a few rare Pokémon, especially with the help of weather. I remember seeing a Metang on nearby about two blocks away from my house a few weeks ago, and two Beldums spawned literally by my house a couple of days ago thanks to Windy weather. Sometimes, it gets wild, but very seldom lol.

Yeah that's about the same situation around my house. The spawn in my kitchen tends to sometimes produce some uncommon stuff like a pikachu or a meowth or eevee, or some of the ghosts like gastly, shuppets, and misdreavus (which for some reason also flock to the memorial in a church nearby). Beldums spawn on rare occasions at the playground. Lotads are something I keep an eye out for, especially during rain, like right now.

I've never spotted a single Lotad outside of rainy weather. I only see them when it is raining, even if I am right by a body of water during other types of weather. So, when I do see them, I make sure it is caught lol.

Congrats! How did you solve the previous problem where people think you are a spoofer (Or maybe you were being bullied by your group)?

Well, these players off the whatsapp group are straightforward with raiding, they don't ask questions, some bring multiple phones, they go public group. They're not from around here I think, many of them come from a bit further from the museum we were at. I have not seen any of them before. I know 2 other players off the facebook group, we'll likely meet on the 25th. I'm saving up for lures until then.
As for the ones from around here, I have contacted one and he said that I am only suspect, at least by him, because I go in the evening instead of during morning-noon. But he's likely not among the ones who started the rumors.

Yay! I'm very happy for you, and hopefully this will be the first of many. It sounds like you found a friendly group to work with. You'll probably be telling us about your first Mewtwo before long.

Lugia is one of the best pokemon in PoGo, IMO, because of its great STAB movesets. And yours is a good one. The first time Lugia was around, my best one (out of two) was 80% with 15A and ES/FS, and I powered it up and have been very happy with it. This time around, I will power up my best one (or shiny, if I get one) and TM it to sky attack.

One suggestion: wait to power it up until Lugia is no longer available, because you might get an even better one before he is gone. But if you know you want to power up a Lugia, feel free to convert some of your rare candy to Lugia candy now, in order to free up bag space (just make sure you save some for Mewtwo).

Yeah they are pretty straightforward, just that it's difficult to find them. They're few and the weather isn't making it easy for most of them to get here, they start their raids from near the center of the town and I'm a bit further than that.

I might use it vs Machamp eventually. But for the moment it will just stay there. I like Lugia ever since my best friend gave me the 2nd movie as a present long ago.

Currently I'm trying to gather 125 Bagon candy and Trapinch candy, will focus on Lugia RCs when it will no longer be around. I have 6 ftm now. Waiting for Lati bros, hoping Latios is first.
