Fair trade?

Someone offered me a shadow claw gengar for my shiny wailmer or shiney snubull or shiney growithe or shiney marowak.
I don't care much for these pokemon and i am only saving them for a decent trade. Do you think its a fair trade? Are any of these shineys better to keep than the other pokes mentioned? I reckon i should also ask what cp the gengar is.

Are they trading you a Haunter or a Gengar? You mention both in your post.

I'd honestly just keep the shinies unless they were spares or the trade was a guaranteed lucky, but I'm a collector so take that how you will.

Assuming you're best friends and the other person is missing one that's a 40k dust cost minimum. While still destructively fast, Shadow Claw Gengar demand has fallen off hard due to Lick being more widely available and performing roughly the same.

If the trade actually *is* for a Haunter and not Gengar then forget it. Haunter knowing Shadow Claw will not be retained when you evolve it.

Thanks for your reply. You're right i did mention both my bad, it is a gengar. Wait so lick and shadow claw preform quite similarly? I might not be so interested if so.

They trade places between being best and 2nd best depending on the specific fight. For all intents and purposes people regard them as generally equal. Shadow Claw is still a fun novelty but if you have Lick Gengar it won't offer you anything game changing.

In battle performance SC Gengar is very similar to Lick Gengar, so if you have those already and don't want SC Gengar for its rarity, maybe the trade isn't so good for you.

If you decide to go forward with the trade, the latest published shiny tier list I could find has Growlithe as a rarer/more valuable shiny than Snubbull or Wailmer. I reckon Marowak is less rare than any of the others.
