Everybody complain (Not a question)

On the Facebook post announcing the exclusive raid thing everybody (me included) is complaining about how ridiculous it is. I'm encouraging everybody on here to do the same. Niantic has changed their mind after announcing things before and with the amount of complaints they're getting I think we can make it happen. Exclusive raid passes are ridiculous for people like me who have jobs and can't just show up and a gym whenever niantic tells me to

I do not know if you have seen pictures of Japan yet, but Mewtwo had a 10 hour Window on him. I am not going to complain until i see hard evidence of it being a strict traditional 2 hour window.

Problem is everything is to Vague, but what do we currently know? To get the Exclusive Raid pass you have to be invited. To be invited you have to do a Raid. What does this mean? Do you have to complete a raid that day before Mewtwo shows up? Or can MewTwo show up and you can go do a raid then do Mewtwo? either way having to do 2 raids in a day can be exhausting to trainers who have a schedule.

"Exclusive Raid Battles are similar to existing Raid Battles, with a few notable differences. Exclusive raids will periodically appear at Gyms around the world; however, unlike existing raids, Trainers will be invited to join an Exclusive Raid Battle. To receive an invitation to participate in an Exclusive Raid Battle, Trainers must have successfully completed a raid recently, by defeating the Raid Boss, at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place. The invitations will include advance warning of when the Exclusive Raid will take place, giving them ample time to coordinate with other Trainers before taking on the powerful Raid Boss."
To be Honest, I understand the frustration of them letting you know the event will be happening at like 11am by your house when you work 30mins away. But i see them doing a late raid time just from the pure fact that they need to have enough people have attended that gym in order for enough people to fight Mewtwo. I really don't think you will need to spend a pass to do Mewtwo because you would need at the least 2 passes a day for Mewtwo. That would make no sense for the non paying customer.

I assume it will be a long window, but it still seems too much like a chore. I don't want to schedule time to do a raid. We all have more important stuff that we need to deal with from time to time. Hopefully, I don't have any conflicts the day I get the pass, but who knows?

Just another money grab. Pay to play now. At least bring the 100 coin cap back!

Is it known for sure the exclusive raid passes are not free and have to be purchased?

It doesn't sound like exclusive raid passes must be purchased. It seems as though they are granted to you if you've raided a gym where a mewtwo spawns.

I think he was referencing the need to purchase regular raid passes in order to ensure that you've raided as many gyms as possible in case a mewtwo does spawn such that you'll be granted the free exclusive raid pass.

Does that make sense?

Then how the hell will we be able to know which gym the exclusive raid battle will be taking place so that we have to beat the boss before it?

You don't. That's why he said it's a money grab, because you need to battle at as many gyms as possible just in case.

Does anybody actually know in detail how the system is gonna work? it's important we know what is what before ranting

One this is for sure: They will probably screw this up and then Mewtwo will be offered like all the other legendaries.

Not everyone is entitled to a legendary.. that's what make them legendary. Birds were to easy to get in my opinion... Wasn't a question of "oh do you have a Zapdos?!" It was "How many Zapdos do have?" Which is wrong for how rare these Pokémon are suppose to be.

Yeah I don't agree how they rolled them out. I like the idea of having to transfer one when you catch another and you end up with the one that is the highest cp/iv and each catch grants candy or dust instead of another legendary copy.

"On the Facebook post announcing the exclusive raid thing everybody (me included) is complaining"
People complain on all of them lol

"Omg lower the speeeed cappppp"
"Omg i'm level 29 why can't I raid with my level 35 friends"
"Omg why aren't we getting more from [insert name of event]"

I doubt that the influence of comments on any social media page has an impact, as this complaining has been going on since the beginning. My question is, what's new with the complaints this time?

For many of us, this may be the only way we may ever get a legendary. Full discolorure: I have none, and under the current system it is extremely unlikely that I will be able for several reasons I have discussed here before.

The exclusive raid pass with advance in game notice may be just what trainers like me need. I know several gyms - certainly my local gold gyms, plus the gym near my workplace in the city and two at the most popular city park - where enough players can meet up at the right time if they know the raid is going to happen without any need for any 3rd party apps which some of use just don't care to use. An advance notice of several hours (10 has been mentioned) would allow just about anyone to get there in time. Once there, you will know these other people have come for the raid; in some places, you will be guaranteed to have enough players at any time; others, it may be harder, but still possible.

This must be the one of the few MMOs that does not currently have the in game capability to coordinate with others (strangers) for certain in game goals. Maybe Niantic is finally doing something about it.

Of course, I will not always have the opportunity to go, certainly not during my 3 day/12 hour workdays (which include every other weekend); but right now, the odds against getting a legendary are astronomical for me - it can certainly only be better with this new system.

To those of you who seem to complain the loudest, who already have several legendaries easily obtained, how does this make it harder for you? You already know enough other players, you can coordinate with your FB group, or simply play in the city parks where you have enough others. So what's the problem?

Anyway, no one knows how this will work, so let's just wait and see. I'm hopeful, at the very least I have little to lose (and maybe a legendary to gain).

If you read a book and you don't like the ending do you think it is right to force the author to change the book? I personally disagree with any changes pushed by users.

da ting iz...

The book has been payed for. The only benefit to the author from that point on is through reputation, to get more people to buy the book. And in that vein, the author makes the book as great as he possibly can.

This is also the case with a lot of computer games. Buy the game, play the game. And it's great cause you've already payed for it in it's entirety.

The concept of making money as people play the game through time, is totally different. I think it can be done effectively, but PoGo is a kinda shitty example of this.
