By Krabby you mean Kingler. This particular case is a CP and move rebalance. Kingler is, stats wise, pretty decent now, with good attack stats. And yeah, attacking gyms has always been not overly hard. I think Blissey changes that some, though. Try killing a good Blissey (2800+ CP) with your Kingler and see how that goes. In my opinion, better Pokemon mostly mean saving a few seconds every battle, hopefully saving you a few minutes every time you beat a gym, because even though it isn't too hard to beat a gym, it will still take a good 20-30 minutes to tear it down completely. Which is frankly quite boring.
Did the Move Rebalancing "Break" Pokemon Go
I find the difference between a Good Pokemon so much less now, really nothing much matters.
Case in point, I just took a 2263 Krabby with Mud Shot/WP and destroyed a 2653 Snorlax with Zen/EQ
I didn't dodge quick moves, I only dodgeg EQ, and I destroyed the Snorlax with 30% left.
I would have never won this fight before the Move Rebalance.
And it's leading me to wonder, if everything is so easy to beat, what's the point.

It seems they've made EPS a more important factor to consider. In regards to how moves compare, they are definitely diverse when it comes to strengths and weaknesses (i.e. Dragon Breath vs Dragon Tail or Vine Whip vs Bullet Seed)
Imagine that Snorlax had Body Slam though. Even whilst dodging the charge moves a fragile Pokémon like Kingler would be wrecked
Yes, after the moves were made quick again, I think EVERY gym defender is much easier...Blissey is still the most time consuming, but can be easily beaten by lvl 25 mons.
I'm sorta in the minority, but I sorta liked the slow battles in the sense that it made the game harder for a lot of people...
As someone who plays games on "ironman" mode (no reloads if dying, 1 life, etc...), the slow move change made it where you needed specific mons to counter the tougher defenders which was everyone.
Now, every gym defender is easier and Blissey is also no threat to near anyone again due to higher damage for charged moves and near same damage for quick moves.
That's good and bad, and the slow movements made EPS too powerful probably, but as I've always stated before, Pokemon Go is a "casual" "mobile" game, don't expect you will ever need much skill/strategy/teamwork to win or do well.
I still play and just roll with it...Their game, their rules...just play based on what you've been dealt.
I think recent update changed balance more for attackers favor.
I can finally prestige against exeggutor with wigglytuff much more easily.
Also its sad that only good defender is now Blissey.
Its way better than Snorlax, cus it takes so much time to take down.
Today i took down 2800+ Blissey with 2500 Rhydon with rock smash and earthquake, and i barely made it.
(only dodged charge moves)
Under the 1st move change when gen 2 launched, that 2500 Rhydon would've never been able to win against that Blissey solo I think.
Timeout was a huge possibility and I even evolved my non-planned Machop just to see if he could get Counter/Dynamic Punch (got Close Combat....).
Certainly made the game more accessible which is good, but makes an easy game even easier...
Your main hope for gym defense is that people value their 20 minutes more than tearing it down.
