Continue hoarding stardust (and RC/TMs)?

The defensive rebalance and Sinnoh Stone release made me eager to finally spend the stardust that I had been hoarding for months.

After taking a Rhyperior (MS/EQ) and Weavile (FA/FP) to level 30, while a perfect Metagross became my sixth maxed mon, reality set in. No Sinnoh Stones left for my 96% Electabuzz and 96% Togetic, still unable to use my four Swinubs and PvP is about to completely shake up the meta.

If not for the PvP announcement, I would be walking Feebas and debating whether to max out my 98% Dragonite, 98% Tyranitar, perfect Mewtwo or 98% Gyarados, but I guess I should continue hoarding stardust (and RC/TMs) for now?

If you are serious about PvP then yes, continue hoarding, if you see yourself taking a more casual approach to it & using it for the rewards, then as you were.

While I have much more saved up than my recommendation:
I'd save up about 200 rare candy for Palkia and sit on a million dust. That way you have a nice safety net and can power anything that is unlikely to get a community day. Palkia, Dialga and Darkrai are the interesting Mons with rare candy cost, so save up as much as you feel comfortable doing.

Maxing Mewtwos, Dragonites, Tyranitars and Metagrosses seems alright to me, once you surpass 3 of each (6 Tyranitar) you might want to consider once more if you want to continue powering them up.

I'm currently sitting on >600 rare candy and 625k dust. General rule has always been to not spend anything unless you absolutely need it. I'd like to save up to 1 million dust before spending it but with PvP looming I'll probably dip into it for the various leagues.

Keep in mind we still don't know how much it will cost to unlock 2nd charge moves. If it ends up being prohibitively expensive you'll want your dust spent where it'll count the most.

- I too am hoarding my resources and waiting until norms and a 'meta' develop for pvp prior to investing my resources
- the ivs of your pokemon are irrelevant to the topic

As gyms in my area are highly competitive, I am also concerned about how second charged moves would impact gym offence and defence.

At any cost don't be one of these raiders, PVP or no PVP...it kept going and going with worse and worse entries. Won with 52 sec left, PC/AB

Another photo where the hardcore is surrounded by casuals. *sigh*

Our discord is ghost town toast. Here they shut down two gyms and put a new one across the street at a gas/station car wash. It is really close to a popular outdoor shopping mall/movie theater (big city)--the 4 other gyms in sight had no raid action.

I drove up 4min after hatch and saw some cars, I was trying to load another account but I couldn't bc it had no bag space to get a premium pass. For a long time the loading lobby had me and 3 others (decent levels), the other two got in late and seems they couldn't swap the autoselect.

Saw multiple Blastoise, Ho-Oh, Rhydon, Flareon, Aggron, and yes, Metagross is also somewhat bad vs Cresselia...I never saw a Tyranitar...bet if I did it would have been Smackdown. Power stuff up if your raiding community is like mine, don't worry about it if you can float in 8-10 person Cresselia raids

My 98% Tyranitar was acquired from a raid just three days ago.
