Cheating sure is fun....

So this morning I woke up and realized a my defender a 3K CP legacy Snorlax that sat at the top of a level 10 gym was knocked out over night. Ok, I'm cool with that, ill just put it somewhere else. Then when passing the gym it was knock out of I decided to check the map. ALL gyms in the town are red and the gym I was kicked out of...........well ill let the GIF speak for itself.

For the next month, every time I pass through this town I will personally take the time and take down all Valor gyms. Lets see how much fun they will have now! Time to send them a message!

It looks like they don't mind if they take down the gym - they intentionally didn't make it hard to do...

At least they didn't put 10 blisseys for godsake, 2.5k++ blissey from bottom to top.

My own personal hell.

Do what you want - I'd pay attention to the names and make sure those people don't sit in gyms - no sense punishing a whole team and wasting your own time otherwise.

I'm on Valor and I don't cheat in any way (not even using maps/trackers). I am very aware that teammates cheat though, I've prestiged gyms 8k to get the 10th spot only to have an ally spoof-snipe it. I've solo taken down level 10 mystic gyms to put my best pokemon in it, only for it to be knocked off the bottom 4 days later by my own allies using alternate accounts to snipe the top spots on level 10 gyms.

I've seen both Mystic and Instinct do the same thing. I've solo taken down level 10 mystic gyms, only for them to be level 10 again that night. I'm talking about gyms that are in a subdivision and don't see much traffic at all - there's no way that many players came and trained it (I'm certain they spoofed) (I live right beside it).

Multiple accounts are the most ridiculous. I mean spoofing is huge cheating, but at least the player is benefiting out of it. I don't see why someone would make multiple accounts and put them in the same gym - what's the point? What do they get out of it? Are they selling the accounts?

I've been dealing with a funny multi accter. I'll call him Jim. Jim is lvl 31 with two lvl 25ish accts that he puts in under him for awhile now. But then BAM! Overnight those 2 accts became lvl 35 with Asian names....but Jim always puts his mons on top of the new accts for protection haha.

Jim is a real pain all of a sudden. It's like he bought lapras/snorlax bodyguards.

This is the main reason trading scares me. You will see a ton of talk about "overpowered spoofed Mons making their way into the market" and "people buying strong mons from spoofers". I think that the main problem will be that the spoofers main accounts will be OP as hell. Imagine multiple accounts that have run for months now. Depending on what you can trade think about X number of accouts loaded with coins never spent. What if they can buy or trade coins or incubators etc? Think of every time one fellow spoofed a super powerful mon. What if it was a 100% Dragonite. I think all have the same moveset. Now instead of him having one he will have 5. The candies. Etc. Etc. And all of this talk about "you must be near each other" type stuff like Blue tooth actually makes it harder on legitimate players to trade correctly while they only need two devices and a few minutes to buff their accounts by multiples of itself.

TBH unless there are some serious changes or limits to trading I could not care less if we ever see it. I would rather go without a useless regional than face all 100% IV maxed ultimate moveset mons in every gym I face. To hell with a Mr. Mime.

Have that issue as well. An army or Valor players taking over a 30% of gyms from where I live. I also tried doing what you are intending to do but to no avail. Despite my usual Pokéstop runs, I find myself running out of resources. Unless Niantic themselves make their move, I'm afraid we can just try to compete. Yeah. It sucks. I am one of the last remaining Instinct players active here in my town so no reinforcements from my team.

A mystic guy is the main one here. There are a few from all 3 teams that are pretty questionable though.

I also have a mystic guy with a legion of 3000+ Dragonites that takes all the gyms in the town seemingly symultaneously. I have reported him once, when the gym I was standing next to got taken down without anyone else in sight, but nothing has changed.
There are now 10-12 level 10 mystic gyms with his pokemon at the top and I've moved my mon out of town.
