That's what you get for being famous and advertising on Twitter that you break the ToS.

He is a famous Pokemon Go player, notorious for holding the highest amount of EXP (in a single account) in the world. A very stupid reason to be famous if you ask me, but I guess that's what happens in a game that lacks endgame content after reaching the max level. Unfortunately, this got him to become a leader in the online PoGO community.
He owns several level 40 accounts and appears frequently in videos belonging to the most popular PoGO Youtubers that don't condone him despite the fact that he is not shy about breaking the TOS left and right by holding so many accounts and making a living out of Pokemon GO by selling overpriced rare catches and "raid boss" packages.
The banHAMMER has finally squashed him down today, it seems. We'll have to wait to see if it sticks or if Niantic will back down from this decision. I personally do not give a damn since his existence is completely irrelevant to me, I just know he exists because or Prodigies Nation and Trainer Tips videos.
Can someone please explain how that (selling Mewtwo) actually works?
I mean, the price varies based on the IV, but how can that work?
If it's thru trading, then the IVs will change during the trade, so that can't work.
Or does he log on to someone elses account when doing a raid? But that doesn't work either because you can't know the IV before doing the raid.
Am I missing something?
He is logging and raiding with your account. I was wondering the same thing about the price, most likely if you go the high IV route, he is raiding your account until he gets that IV, and for any IV he only catch the first 2 Mewtwo, if they happen to be high IV, that's still in the any IV category.
btw, Banning his account doesn't stop him from keeping this catch service going.
You mean from him alone? If he stopped playing altogether maybe a couple thousand dollars every two days, judging by his playing style. But I read Niantic just crossed the 2 billion mark in revenue, so I think they will be fine. For a game that doesn't push its players into spending too hard compared to other games, it is doing fairly well. One fewer whale won't make much difference.
I wonder what XP some of the friend bot people have. I question whether catching/evolving can keep up with endless XP friending.
As you probably know, many people with an extra account are minnows, very cheap. I doubt Niantic was wanting to permanently delete their most avid player. He could just say, game got boring and his main account couldn’t do anything else.
I don’t watch YouTube, but I do bet it wasn’t just him catching every single day...just like it wouldn’t be just him catching you 10 Mewtwo.
