Blaziken can learn focus blast!!!

I think that makes him top fighting dps.
Apparently it replaces Stone edge, so if you already have blaziken with SE, it just became legacy and super rare.

I just realized mine (evolved yesterday) has it. Why is it awesome? Any specific boss or raid use?

It was only available as a move for a couple of days. Extremely rare and unable to obtain as of now.

Thanks for the info. It’s quite a surprise for me because I and my son decided to max out Blaziken by using all of our rare candies, we’re fans of Blaziken, maybe somewhat irrational that time. But now a little reward accidentally given by Niantic, it’s strange that Gen 3 just started two days ago.

I have to disagree to your comment. I just wrote an entire message in Dutch arguing why Blaziken is a viable option in certain match ups. I don't have the time to translate everything, but against certain raid bosses it actually outclasses Machamp.

Short pros:
Think of Tyranitar (IT/FB), Cloyster or Lapras (double ICE).

Regarding normal gym battles, it resist Dazzling Geam (Blissey), Heavy Slam (Snorlax), Ice (Lapras). Giving it an effective higher health than Machamp.

Short cons:
Less dodge friendly, late damage window (compare to Solarbeam), risk of not using entire energy levels compared to Dynamic punch.
