Golem with RT/SE is the second best against Charizard, only losing to Omastar with legacy moves, RT/RS.

However, due to double resisting poison, it is extremely potion-efficient against Muk. As long as the defending Muk doesn't get Infestation, it is eventually more potion-efficient. Though, Rhydon would do a better job and more time-efficient here, by having better stats and rock does neutral to poison.

Poison only does 1.25*0.64=80% of normal damage while Golem doesn't resist Infestation, a bug move.

Against pure poison Pokémon, Golem is alright, but not the big grasses like Venusaur, because grass hits poison for 1.25*1.5625=195.3125% of normal damage. Gengar is a more potion-efficient option.

Against pure fire and electric, Rhydon will definitely get the job done a lot better, boasting 11 more base ATK compared to Golem.

Additionally, Golem is a better attacker into Snorlax by having Rock Throw, which has a slightly less cooldown than Mud Slap and Rock Smash, Mud Shot does too less damage compared to other Golem's/Rhydon's moves. (not doing more damage, is for dodging Body Slam, which comes frequently for now; i.e. Rock Throw is more dodge-efficient)

Next post, is still Golem!
