Bets on gen 4's first legendary raid?

I was betting on Regigigas cause it would have been a perfect thematic fit after the Regis but Mewtwo came along and ruined everything. So now my guess is that they will go full-frontal and have a strong intro into Sinnoh with Dialga. What are you betting on to be the first one?

Origin Giratina for Halloween

Giratina. Ghost/Dragon. October 23 - a week before Halloween. It's pretty much the perfect Legendary to release right now.

All signs point to either Giratina form. What appeared to be Origin forme was in the first teaser video and a full frontal of Altered was shown in the release video.

As others have said, all signs point to our first Gen IV legendary being Giratina. It fits the ghost theme of the Halloween event that they've done each year, and it was shown at the end in both the teaser and trailer for Gen IV.

Id assume giratina for Halloween, but that onl make sense for the start of giratina, most of it would be in november.

Could be any of the three dragons, or all three at once?

No way they do all three at once. These are the highest profile raids gen 4 has to offer, aside from Darkrai and Arceus which seem like they could be EX raids. The creation trio will each get a month of their own for sure, all of them can rake in money by themselves.

I could imagine the Lake trio all appearing at the same time though, as dedicating a month each to Uxie or Mesprit does not seem like a solid move financially. Really hope they learned from the three months of Regidepression.

Altered Giratina for Halloween, or maybe Origin and Altered at random. It would be cool if you would see which one it is before the raid. Disappointed if it actually gets Shadow Sneak as it's ghost charged move. Then again, when it comes to Ghost charged moves, there's Shadow ball, and there's garbage. Would be shocked if it got SB, because it would totally dominate SC/SB Gengar, comparable DPS and way more TDO.

This trend of giving legendaries great stats and then awful attacks is getting old. Sure, you don't want to let a few pokemon dominate the meta, but Rayquaza with Aerial Ace? Ho-Oh with Fire Blast and Brave Bird? And throughout all of that, Moltres is the best fire attacker and the best flying attacker with Sky Attack.

I hope that a lot of the stuff datamined from G4 is just placeholders.

The business model seems pretty clear at this point. Don't give all legendaries stellar movesets on first release, people will raid them regardless. Later on you can rake in extra money with exclusive movesets during limited raid days.

It looks a bit too blatant at the moment to my liking, but obviously I'm not representative of the entire playerbase and this could very well be the best way to maximize profits, for now. I'm worried that long term it'll drive off players and kill the game.
