Check out my bomb level 13 alt I made this week.

Strange, we don't have gyms like that, heck I don't know how to even tell if a gym is sponsored.

When you first click on a gym, it will say "Sponsored" in the upper right corner in a blue text box. See the upper-right-hand corner of this photo.

Off topic: What is going on with your status bar? Screenshot of a screenshot? or does your phone always have double status bars?

Now that's odd. The one I had my EX Raid at did not say that. It's just a gym at our former government's HQ.

So if one raids at ten Sprint sponsored gyms, how do they know which gym is the invite for?

Press directions link and google will bring up a map for you. 5 of my 8 invites (on my level 39) have been for Sprint locations. Probably accounts for a lot of invite discrepancies.

Why would you have an alt in pogo tho? I wouldn't wanna waste time on 2. Acc while i could farm on my main.
I used to do that in wow because every class was different. In Pogo doesnt make sense to me.

Alt account could help you kick out pokemon for the 50 coins if you are the dominant team and hold multiple gyms without many challengers.

Also useful for 'dual wield' solos of Tyranitar, absol etc. However, getting the resources to dual wield tyranitar is already a massive pain, nevermind other challenges like Aggron (WB)

Don't really need it for high turnover areas if you are only going for the 50 coins purpose.

You can do a go plus on one and still have eyes on the other to not be blind. (Know when to pause and pinap)

In high-turnover areas, alternate accounts are also used to defeat Golden Razzberry feeding.

I made it on a whim because my raid group was doing a second go-in and I was waiting around anyways. Now whenever a second group happens I use it. Funny stuff.

Bad IVs. My wife’s account caught Rayquaza 2078; 2077; 2076 in a three day span with the free pass. Raiding takes no extra time, raiding is free. However, I’m not going to my own EX raids anymore, I wouldn’t waste the gas on this kid’s EX.

Wait a second. So the community on this site is "ok" with this now?

I don't post allot on here and just lurk but this post struck me!

If I recall there was huge outrage on this site when folks find out other trainers were catching pokemon by using IV scanners claiming it was against the TOS. Same thing when players were using multiple devices to power up pokemon to level 40 to work around the bug that was in the game since launch, there was massive outrage saying it was cheating and against the TOS.

But here we have a trainer who created an alternate account that can be used to:

- take down rival gyms along with their main account.
- defeat golden razzberry defending of rival teams
- increase golden razzberry defending if the account is the same team as their main.
- can be used to kick themselves out of gyms to get their 50 coins if the account was created under a rival team
- can be used to shave out teammates out of gyms to put their own defender in
- reduce chances of legitimate players who are high level getting EX raid passes which is evident by doing 6 raids and getting the EX pass

As a level 40 player who raids at sponsored stops daily and never received an EX pass I can clearly say anyone who is ok with alt accounts should not have an issue with anyone using any other ways that gives that player an advantage such as IV scanners.

Yup. I have an old phone that works if there's WiFi.

I made this account to show people how ridiculous the raiding system is over the catching system. Here is an account that hasn't caught 40 Pokemon yet but already has Pokemon well above 2,000 CP and one even over 2,800 CP (Raid bosses are caught at their level, not the Trainer's max level), and already has an EX-Pass for one of the strongest, most exclusive 'mons in the game.

An EX invite in your city is different from an EX in my city. Saturated here. People here are grasping for confirmations for tomorrow's round. I'm not going, I have 7 Mewtwo already...130pm Monday afternoon...sorry, nope. If you actually show up then you deserve the pass, if not, then who cares anyway

That's how go is sir. Caters to noobs.

Raid system was fun to begin with and made Niantic lots of money but ultimately it spoils the game.

Playing around with an alt account is in no way, shape, or form like using a scanner.

It has the potential to hurt other players much more than using a scanner. You see an example in this thread, the alt account got an ex-pass on the expense of a legit player.

I don't think it's OK, but it's a slippery slope. I have my kids' phones sometimes and may use them to help me in raids I can't solo (but they're legit, real accounts... hers rival 25, his my team 29). The city Discord that allows me to do t5 raids uses scanners... I don't drive there (25 miles) to chase high IV rares, but the raid scanner has been useful.

In Rome, do as the Romans do....

I'd rather see a person with two devices walking to a raid rather than someone driving raid to raid on a single account. Full disclosure: I have one account and live in an active city and don't drive. I also don't use scanners.

I have a 39 and two 34s, one is my wife's, she started playing 2 days before I did, got to level 5 before I did and she picked our color. The other I started for my son September 2016 bc he is 3. Something I'll teach him more about when he is five or six. He is kinda smart and he can catch and throw good straight balls already, tries curves but hits it rarely. At home he clicks on nearby gyms and he engages the characters and taps, taps, taps just like every 30mil XP player also does.

I can sometimes do Rayquaza with those, it is often a challenge. Not impossible, but similar difficulty to when we all first started to solo Machamp (hoping for specific Boss moves).

Not having abundant revives is an added extreme obstacle, I feel Niantic has considered it and has addressed it. Especially with days like Dratini day, no 2nd or 3rd account could significantly benefit from that.

I'm always trying to gauge if I have enough health to try again, when I lose...it takes about 3 days to get back to where I was before the failure. More than a matter of just waiting for chatting help, often at 630 to 730 am...there is no help around the corner.

The game isn't scaled in an intricate enough manner, there are no longer any true solo raiding goals. Really not any duo goals either.

I'm sorry mate, call me old-school, but I'm against anything that breaks TOS. That having said, I don't see the harm if you don't do gym scene with it, but that's something you apparently did (ex-raid invite).

The OP has said in other threads he has 8 Mewtwos on his main account. Pretty sure anybody that has tried to get one in his city already has one.
