Anyone else getting crap spawns after the update?

Ever since the update most of what I'm seeing are the EXP grinding Pokémon. Rattata, Piggey, Caterpie, and Weedle.

Anyone else seeing the same?

I found a lvl 26 0% Jynx with Pound and Psyshock.
I find that quite amazing :P

Nope. While I'm seeing more rats and birds... I'm also finding more Abra, eggs, nidos and I actually found a Snorlax a couple days ago... a Lick/EQ... but hey. its something. While these aren't the most wonderful critters to find... I never find any of the top ones anyway.

I like that you hid your buddy's identity.

My buddy is too ashamed to show its face because it is a 100% IV LVL 1 Pokémon. It knows it will never receive an ounce of stardust or taste any delicious candy from my hands so it might as well get candy for the others that deserve it.

i had a good couple of days right after the Starter event (Snorlax, Dratini, Dragonair etc) but since then it's been very stale.

I don't understand why Mons like Bulba and Charmander are so rare

Prety normal for me - mainly stardust fodder with the rare more usable Poke thrown in. Not noticed any significant change.

Yes. 100%. I regularly use a scanner where I work and can say the 2-3 abras, rhyhorns, omanytes, growlithes I would see per day and then go and catch have disappeared. Previously changing but continuously interesting spawn points at one famous site in particular has been producing nothing of value for weeks

Of note, dratinis which were gone since Halloween, have now been starting to pop up near the creek near work again. Not regularly, but the one or two I see and catch a week is an improvement

Welcome to life on my town since day 1 of the game hahaha. I have not noticed this because 99% of my spawns has been like your picture always.

Just as a curious note I managed to catch a Snorlax last week (the funny thing is that he just popped in front of me, of course tracker was useless as he was not near a pokestop...)

Anyway I think as they add more and more spawn points they get even more crap, I thought it was not possible but it is this way, at least for me.

As someone said on reddit when you are around level 30 and have seen/caught more than 3k of the same mon something is not ok with the game and it should have been changed a lot of time ago.

the question isn't if you're getting the same boring stuff you have always been subjected to, it's whether you've noticed a relatively recent change from a variety to ordinary.

Where I live since day one, the few that occasionally spawn are your basic pidgies, ratts, etc. but I had always noticed occasional but consistent variety where I work until the update, when it abruptly stopped. It has gone from identifying 2-4 catchable Pokemon a day to zero

I was just trying to say that for me the answer of that question is no, I can't see any change because all around me has been pretty much the same since beggining.

Probably the spawn points at your work area have been moved/removed, I saw something similar during August/September, when they started adding more spawn points there was 3 spawns near a small river here that spawned "different" mons than the usual ones, I got there Psyducks, Magikarps, Staryus, Poliwags and Slowpokes (one or two Dratini too), but since that "update" they were removed and after all converted to a single spawn from 3 of them and no longer spawns water mons, just the usual rattata/pidgey.

No change for me. The nests also haven't changed if you look at the TSR Atlas. If there was a wholesale change, it probably would have changed the nests as well.

Probably just bad luck on your specific locations.

I thought so but then I got a wild Snorlax 2150 cp 4 10 k eggs, hatched 2 and one was my first Lapras so can't complain.
