ANY use for last resort?

Had some great luck today, including A 91% shiny and a 7x% shiny female with 15 atk. Now comes the big question: is there ANY projected usefulness in Last Resort on any of the current eeveelutions? My only thought is MAYBE in PVP if they make PVP work differently, but that aside I feel like it's of kin to surf pikachu...

Espeon and flareon could become new great blissey killers, not weak to zenheadbutt or dazzling gleam while sporting some of the highest DPS in partly cloudy weather, with their candy being far easier to get than other blissey killers, or the need to spend the raid pass

Umbreon and vaporeon will have more improved defensive standings, as bother were resisted out by fighting and grass respectively, last resort gives both some teeth against their counters.

However those 4 are the only ones it really helps, jolteon sadly cant deal with ground types even if given last resort because most ground types are part rock. PvP it might have some coverage for all 5, so that is something to consider, but as for what the game currently has to offer, that seems the best uses for them, surprisingly, it did benefit and improve pokemon while not totally outclassing their past selves

I would appreciate people's thoughts on this as well. I caught a near perfect level 23 Eevee today (15a, 14d, 15s) and have been walking it with the intention of evolving into an Espeon. Not sure if I even want to evolve it within the Last Resort window however as I have been hearing mixed opinions as to whether an Espeon with Last Resort is more useful than a Confusion/Future Sight Espeon...

It wont be more useful, it just would be useful in a different way/niche. If you already have 6 psychic Mewtwos, then you dont need C/FS Espeon, get that Last Resort and you can at least place it on gyms.

Hmm I currently have only one Espeon and it has Zen Headbutt/Psybeam. Also only just got my first Mewtwo and it has Hyper Beam. Makes me think I should try to get a C/FS Espeon with this near perfect Eevee and maybe evolve another Eevee into a Flareon or something with Last Resort. Pretty sure I haven't used the Pyro name trick yet.

There is no use for last resort. It's like having Dragon Pulse on Gyarados, it's a pointless legacy move.

Why niantic made this the exclusive move is a mystery.

Best to keep it as an eevee in case Extreme Evoboost ever come to PoGo.

Defender? But every Eeveelution but Vape has pitiful bulk and Vape's water gun is terrible for defense.

personally,
i will just be waiting until after the community day if i want to evolve anything.

i see no point of having a normal type move on any of these. i mean if you really think about it, none of the Eeveelutions are even used anymore (even with them having STAB moves). they're not even that good anymore. now you're going to have one that has a Normal type move making it even worse? there are far better options out there.
