Announcements always late...
I really do not understand why they always announce the event days after its begun. I just restarted my app because it locked up and this popped up.
It's March 1st! This event began days ago.

I got that one today, and yesterday got the one informing me about the new berries in the game.
At least this time, the berries had the correct name next to the correct berry.
I guess they need to make a little bit of money from the game before they can afford to employ a team to handle their communication.
For a company that is keen on 'community' they really don't seem to be doing much about it in a positive way.
It could be said that the casual player is the one that needs the notification to arrive on time.
The more devoted player already knew this...it is the casual player that needs informing.
Besides, many casual players would have already seen and caught one.
No matter how you look at it...it is just bad communication.
