80 Power Sky Attack

Anyone else surprised that after advertising improved Sky Attack they didn't make it 90.

A lot of the best 2 bar moves run from 90 (WC/DP/PW/GK), 100 (DG, SB) or 110 (Out) with the best being debatable on Cycle DPS vs Dodgibility.

If they were going to improve Sky Attack why pass on opportunity to fit into this group

90? Too overpowered. The best 90 power move is 2.6 seconds, compared to SA's 2.0.

It is now the 2nd best 2 bar charge move in the game (with 40 raw DPS), the best is Doom Desire, which no pokemon that can be got has. Its now a lot better than 2 moves oft quoted as near broken, dynamic punch and wild charge.

90 would have been game breaking.

I don't agree that DP and WC are overpowered though when considered on its own. Especially WC is only there to compensate for a bad quick move (thunder shock)

C/DP combination is a bit broken, I'll give you that.

Thunder Shock isn’t that bad. It has the same stats as Psycho Cut, which many prefer.

Thunder Shock is bad? Then Mud Shot, or to say, Groudon, is useless.

I don't see mud shot winning any awards here, and neither does thunder shock.

I never said the species learning the moves are bad. Just that the moves are crap.

Lugia is the only good pokemon with Sky Attack. 90 damage might not have been too much for Lugia. But it definitely would have prevented them from using Sky Attack on any future pokemon with higher attack stat.

Jirachi comes and say, oh I don't have a Steel fast move, so I can only be used as a generalist.
