Has anyone seen this battlescreen?

I havent seen that but the game freezes up quite a bit lately and has to be restarted

Yes I have, and it's annoying. Especially since some Asian-named spooflords have taken over the park nearby. I was trying to kick them out and then I get the "This gym battle has already been completed" error, and then I realize someone else took the gym right under my nose (2 other possible spoofers). The only consolation was that I could still get in the gym as they were of my team. All gyms here are full of spoofers who lured the stops at the shellder nest thanks to some spoofing youtuber who showed the nest to everyone...
