Overview

With the newfound power of friendship, Lapras is now somewhat more manageable than its last stint as a raid boss. Full Raikou teams can coast easily to victory, and even full Machamp teams have a good shot at victory with good RNG and smart dodging.

When weather comes into play, Lapras becomes easier, though not a walk in the park. Every common weather type features attackers that Lapras has to fear, so most players who don’t have 6 maxed out Raikou have options to tailor their teams.

Approach

Team composition

  • Weather dictates your team; Raikou and Machamp can fill in the gaps

Dodging strategy

  • Dodging some Hydro Pump, Blizzard can save time by not relobbying

  • Whether that is possible depends on Lapras’s matchup vs. your team

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
