All pokemon motivation now decays at the same percent so low CP pokemon no longer stay longer

A major bug that affected me when doing multi healing after a raid battle

Another problem that affected me

Not just iPhone but Android as well

I was just getting into the gyms and now they are pointless again with that kind of decay rate. Guess it is time to start sticking pidgeys back in there.

...the question is: will the update resolve issue for android as well?

That is a very important question as I mostly play on my android device where it crashed often after the last event update. I guess only time will tell if it solved it for Android as well.

My device crashed every time an egg hatched or pokemon spawned.
Edit:

Seems the potion freeze still exists on Android

Im glad they made all Pokemon have the higher level of motivation decay. I've been putting in 3000 and above mons just to get my coins and get them back quicker. It should reduce the stagnant gyms too

Gyms are stagnant because people don't see a reason to do them, not because your defender at 2/3rds was too much for them to handle. All this does is allow you to use your asshat Pikachu to take out any gym that has been there more than a few hours.

Or because people don't want to beat the same Pokemon 3 times in a row to kick it out

Weird that they are now calling it a "motivation decay bug" when it was originally advertised as a feature that higher CP defenders would lose motivation faster. Just say it as it really is: They are rebalancing motivation loss for all defenders. Seems more nefarious when they try to mask the change as a bug fix.

Gyms are stagnant because once a trainer have a Gold badge in the gym they no longer care to battle it for control because they know they are guaranteed 5 items minimum if it is not in their team control and 7 minimum if it is. 6 or 8th item is usually an egg

Regular spin 2 Items
Bronze spin +1 Item minimum
Silver spin +2 Items minimum
Gold spin + 3 Items minimum
Team control + 2 Items minimum

So far I only got one aditional item for team control. That makes a minimum of 6 items with gold gym batch.

I have one gold gym badge and I almost always get 7-9 items when I spin the gym disc of my team color. On my 7th day streak, I can get up to 24 items on the first spin.

Motivation loss seems like that would just be a server side change. Odd that it is listed here.

How long has the potion freeze been in game? I guess it is nice to see it finally addressed.

Instead of motivation decay, I think a simple 1 battle to kick out, raise the gym size higher so more people can get involved, no berries at all, etc...would be much simpler, better...

Of course, the 1st guy taking the gym is screwed since he gets kicked out first...

They should just go back to 10 coins + 10 mins, but I think they are trying to find ways to limit coins...

They should make it like the console games where you win by all clearing once. If you get stopped on the 5th Mon, the gym reverts to its prior state and you try again.

That'd be too hard and time consuming for low and medium-high level players. I was not be able to beat a Blissey until recently because I didn't even have a Machamp and Ursarings are not that good against Blissey. I'd definitely quit gyms if I had to do them over and over just because I failed to beat 1 of the defending PKM.

Most players are more interested in raids now, especially with the legendaries rolling out. Why expend what potions/revives you have to battle a gym when they would be better served for gym raiders?

Revives aren't a problem, but in this new "everybody has a chance" environment...nerfing Blissey, which we've all seen coming since February. Potions are very limited, put something in you just caught or don't care about. However, feeding berries has been giving me real candies...that is my motivation to put something valuable in there

Took over 2 days for the latest update to make its way to my local AppStore. The biggest complaint I have with latest gym setup is the almost complete lack of berries from stops. Makes it impossible to stay in a gym more than 24hrs. There still seem to be bugs with coins too - sometimes I'm not even close to 50 coin limit and a mon comes back after a big chunk of time with zero coins.
