Overview

Alolan Marowak lost some defense in the November 2018 stat recalculation, and that brought it out of the realm of a weather-only duo. That’s just in time to coincide with availability of its shiny form. The best Alolan Marowak counters are all limited in availability. If you’re fortunate enough to have a Rampardos or two, that can help a lot if the weather isn’t on your side.

Approach

Team composition

  • Use Rampardos if you have it to get ahead of the clock; finish with Kyogre, Giratina-O

  • Other options become viable counters in 4 different weather types

Dodging strategy

  • Glassy Pokemon (Rampardos, Gengar) may benefit from dodging

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
