Absol has traditionally been a great stepping stone into the world of Tier 4 Duos, as it is one of the easier raids we have. With the introduction of friendship and the CP rebalance, the raid became a trivial duo, with level 20 Machamps easily beating the clock. With the Type Effectiveness change on top of this, the need for a duo guide is long gone.
We now move to a world where Absol can be soloed in cloudy weather. It is a difficult battle, but is certainly doable with the right counters and some patience. The winrate is less than 100% with any combo of Pokemon and movesets, but a few well timed dodges and some RNG luck can help you pull it out
Machamp is the best option.
Breloom can add some speed and is capable of winning on its own with dodging
One Hariyama can be used as filler, but the other two are far superior
The lobby glitch is highly recommended for this raid, as every second will be important
Occasional dodging (especially vs Thunder) will increase your win rate.
Overdodging will make winning difficult. Keep in mind that tanking charges will fill your bar and allow you to fire off more Dynamic Punches, and you need that damage
A re-lobby is essentially a loss. Make sure your team of 6 survives, but don’t lose sight of the main goal (doing enough damage to win!)
The dodge/death loop glitch should not be an issue in this raid.
Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
