Overview

Absol is by far the easiest tier 4 raid boss to duo, with at least 12 unique Pokémon consistently able to beat it at level 30 without weather boost. Despite its ease, Absol offers the same rewards as any other tier 4 boss as well as the opportunity for a shiny.

This is a great place to start your path of duoing tier 4s as you build your teams for the tougher bosses.

Approach

Team Composition

  • Machamp has the overall best DPS and good bulk; the more, the better

  • At level 30, teams low on Machamp and Hariyama may require re-entry

  • Generalists such as Dragonite, Metagross, and Moltres work at level 40

Dodging Strategy

  • Teams full of Machamp and Hariyama at level 30 don’t require dodging

Counters

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
